Concept Development Package

The Concept Development Package for landscape works consists of:

• A Concept Masterplan detailing the extent of proposed site elements• Image sheets of indicative embellishments• Overlay plans of the fi elds catering for different sporting codes

The concept development should be read in conjunction with the previously submitted Design Methodology Report and the other concept development packages from other disciplines.

CarparkCarpark areas are located to facilitate multiple site access. The western carpark is accessed from the Oxley Highway and provides parking for dog off leash area and southern fi elds. The northern carpark is accessed via Princess Ave on the northern boundary of the site. It includes a bus circulation loop and set down zone and provides parking for cricket nets, Cricket Centre of Excellence and premier cricket fi eld. The eastern carpark is accessed from Stone Creek Road and provides parking for multiple fi elds.

Overfl ow CarparksOverfl ow carpark areas are located in the south western corner of the site and adjacent to the entry off Oxley Highway. They are designed to enable marshalled on site car parking during major events. The overfl ow carparks will include shade tree planting and interface with pedestrian pathway systems for access to the playing fi elds and may have temporary alternative uses such as marquees and kick-a-bout spaces.

Emergency Access PointEmergency vehicle access is proposed from Princess Avenue for direct and un-encumbered access, in addition to the other main vehicle access points and internal carriageway.

Service Vehicle Access DrivewayService vehicle access is provided to the southern edge of the main clubhouse building.

Cricket Centre for ExcellenceSpace has been allocated on the northern centre of the site for a future possible Cricket Centre for Excellence. The Centre will have its own carpark as well as being able to be serviced by the northern carpark.

PlaygroundA multi age playground is located at the south west corner of the site

3m Concrete Shared PathA perimeter pathway network is proposed to facilitate access around and through the whole facility. This path is wide enough to cater for large user numbers in event mode as well as providing a shared path as a recreation and training circuit.

Pedestrian Crossing PointsSafe crossing points are provided at key locations to facilitate access between fi elds.

Cricket Nets Cricket nets are located in the north western corner of the site

Premier Cricket OvalThe premier oval will be located in the centre of the site east of the Grandstand. It will consist of a central crowned oval and 4 turf cricket pitches. The oval will have an overlay of two full size rugby league/union/soccer fi elds and 6 touch football fi elds.

Secondary Cricket OvalTwo of the three secondary ovals are proposed in the southern end of the site. They will consist of a one way cross fall central crowned oval and 3 turf cricket pitches. The ovals will have a total overlay of 3 full size rugby league/union/soccer fi elds and total of 9 touch football fi elds.

Secondary Cricket OvalThe other secondary oval will be located in the north east corner of the site. It will consist of a one way cross fall fi eld with a single syntheitic turf cricket pitch. The oval will have an overlay of one full size rugby league/union/soccer fi elds and 2 touch football fi elds.

Junior Cricket OvalA junior cricket oval is proposed in the centre eastern boundary of the site. The oval will have a single syntheitic turf cricket pitch and an overlay of 2 touch football fi elds.

Bus set downA bus set down area and circulation loop is provided to the southern side of the northern carpark. It is proposed that after set down the buses would move off site till required for pickup.

Entry StatementThe existing Wauchope Entry sign forms a timber themed entry to town and will be incorporated into the fi nal design with additional landscape treatments and embellishments. Additional wayfi nding, signage and furniture will follow the cue of the simple and robust use of timber.

GrandstandThe grandstand facility is proposed on the western side of the main oval, with outlook to the east over the premier cricket oval.

Amenities and Storage FacilityCentrally located amenities with storage facilities

Bioretention / Detention BasinBioretention and detention basin for treatment of stormwater

Drainage Swale with BridgeDrainage swale for conveyance of stormwater. A timber bridge across the swale connects the pathway to fi eld.

Dog Off Leash AreaA 1350m2 Dog Park is located in the south western corner of the site.

Wayfi nding SignageWayfi nding signage will be located at strategic points around the site to assist with navigation through the site.

StorageStorage sheds for fi eld equipment and storage of maintenance equipment and bulk supplies.

Light PolesLighting Poles strategically located around the site to provide adequate lighting to all fi elds.
