Once you have discovered the advantages of modern bus systems for your house, you will never

want to do without this luxury again. The networked installation system regulates and controls lighting,

blinds, screens, room heating, the intercom system and media units, and visualises measured val-

ues such as the temperature, brightness and wind velocities in old and new buildings. The LEAN-

and SMARTtouch developed by Busch-Jaeger has a clearly laid out touchscreen (available in mono-

chrome or colour) that allows you to check and control all of these functions from a central location.

With them you can visualise and operate the ABB i-bus® EIB/KNX system in the smallest of spaces.

Harmony of function and design.

The new Busch-Jaeger LEAN- and SMARTtouch is not only easy on the eye but it also offers

numerous functions for switching and controlling your EIB system. At the same time,

this versatile display and console panel can be easily and intuitively used.

Switching Dimming Regulating Opening Controlling Checking Monitoring Light

The basis of the LEAN-and SMARTtouch is afully graphical LCDscreen with integratedbacklighting.It is usedto display and operateup to 210 switching andcontrol functions indifferent screens. Thefunctional assignmentof the individualtouchscreens can beconfigured according toyour wishes. All func-tions are activated bytouching the display.Starting from the

homepage, the labelledtouchscreen of themenu structure isactivated via theenclosed PDA pin.Thanks to the clearlylaid out menu structureyou can keep an eye oneverything at all times.The functions in thehouse can be controlleddirectly room for roomand/or via the functiongroups.

Save yourself long walks and unnecessary expenditure. With the LEAN- and SMARTtouch

you can check and as necessary control all the functions in your house from one location.

At the LEAN-andSMARTtouch home-page you will find up to10 touchscreens,which, for example,reflect the roomstructure of your house.You can at any timeread the room tempera-ture and time in thefooter of the controlpanels, and have inaddition direct accessto the integratedindividual room thermo-stats and the timeprograms. If you toucha touch button in thehomepage using thePDA pin you areimmediately guided toan overview of theindividual room func-tions or the functiongroups. The current

status of, for example,the switch functions ormeasured values istextually displayed inthe display. With anadditional touch on therespective individualfunction a controlwindow can open viawhich, for example, thebrightness level of theceiling light can bechanged. Via the "Mainpage" button in thefooter you are guidedback to the homepagefrom any control page. In addition, the LEAN-and SMARTtouch has a"child lock" via which alloperation can belocked. The relevant lockingsymbol is displayed inthe header.

New: Audio and videounits can now also beactivated and includedin scenes via the LEAN-and SMARTtouch.Here, it is not relevantwhether the link ismade via the ABB i-bus® EIB/KNX Systemwhich the availableelectricity line uses fordata transmission. Anadditional unit, e.g. themedia box*, is requiredto link the system to amedia control system.

about system faults or woken up on time? The LEAN- and SMARTtouch automatically controls all

of this for you and also offers many more additional options.

response messagescomplement the multi-functional checking andcontrol options of thedevice.

With the LEAN- andSMARTtouch, all electri-cal devices, which areintegrated into your EIB system, are centrallycontrolled. In addition,an infrared handheldcontrol facilitatesremote control. In this way, up to10 individually definedconsumers can becontrolled. Via the "System" buttonof the homepage thedate, time or also thesignal tones can be set.The acoustic signals canbe heard during alarm or alarm-response mes-

With the modern and stylish Bang & Olufsen Beo4* remote control you not only can control your

home entertainment functions but also your house technology.

Since 1925 the leg-endary Bang & Olufsenbrand has stood for har-monising four things:quality, which exceedsthe expectations of cus-tomers, where imageand sound are con-cerned. Craftsmanshipthat from an aestheticaland technological point

Developed to meet the highest demands in user comfort: theLEAN- and SMART-touch with integratedIR receiver for theBeo4* remote controlof Bang & Olufsen. The functional rangehas been significantlyexpanded. In addition tothe known option, i.e.that all Hi-fi componentsof Bang & Olufsen canbe controlled with oneremote control, you cannow also operate the

lighting, blinds andmany other EIB func-tions via the remotecontrol. You are onlytwo clicks away fromsuch desired lightatmospheres as "Read-ing", "Television" or "Visi-tor" with the Beo4*remote control of Bang& Olufsen. The Control-panel receives the IRsignals of the remotecontrol and carries outthe desired functions inyour EIB system.

Difference between the versions

Commissioning.

Commissioning or programming the panel can be carried out by the installer in one of two ways.

a) Commissioning via astandard multimedia/SDcard

For rapid and uncompli-cated operation, theuse of a multimedia/SDcard with appropriatecard reader is recom-mended. The card withthe project is insertedinto the slot receptaclebehind the chromedpanel flap. The desiredproject is selected viathe panel display andautomatically assigned.
