Summer Homework Booklet

Introduction

This booklet is designed to help you practise the keys skills which are assumed knowledge for

the maths A-Level course. Whilst the entry requirement at Harlington is a grade 6, we strongly

advise that students are equipped with algebra skills at grade 8 due to the quick and

demanding progression of algebra content in the A-Level course.

Therefore, you will want to ensure that you are fully up to speed with all the topics in this

booklet. You are advised to spread this over the summer period and not do in on go, as often

maths ability has a habit of disappearing!

Each topic has some brief examples, and mathswatch clip numbers if you need a reminder.

You should check your answers, and if you get questions wrong ensure that you look up the

topics in more detail.

You will be assessed on the content of this booklet when you start the course and offered

advice on suitability for the course.
