Project 1 – Hardware

Elevator model contains 4 floors, single elevator shaft.

Elevator controller implemented using “pure” hardware:

• PIC microcontroller runs specialized algorithm;

• Hardware bundle: buttons, sensors, LEDs, RS232;

• GUI on the PC for signal display .

Project 2 – Software

Same elevator model as Project 1.

Elevator controller implemented using GUI driven simulation:

• Similar algorithm to Project 1;

• Developed in Visual C ++;

• Neat visual interface.

A working scaled model was built:

• DC motor – H-Bridge;

• Double Mechanical Reduction;

• Photo sensors on every floor;
