The master plan will consolidate outpatient and laboratory facilities to create a cohesive campus-like setting where collaboration between doctors, researchers, and the general public will continue the hospitals reputation as a vital public service within the community of South Los Angeles. The goal of the master plan is to establish guidelines that will guide future development of open space throughout the campus in a manner that will collectively unify and reinforce the hospitals identity.
