Common Perception of VegetariansWe think that restaurants in Dallas sometimes get a bad reputation when it comes to vegetarians. This is the land of BBQ and steak right? So we wanted to feature some of our options for our herbivore friends.

Wild Salsa

In case you want to go the salad route Wild Salsa offers a couple of options without having to awkwardly tell your waiter to “hold the meat.”

We have a tropical salad with grilled pineapple, spinach, arugula, and a coconut habanero vinaigrette. We also have the classic Ensalata Mexicana served on a corn tostado with shredded cabbage, roasted corn, black beans, pico, and avocado dressing.

We can’t get enough of our mushroom tacos, and when they’re served with black beans and cilantro rice, they’re pretty much perfection.

Our verde enchiladas have spinach queso fresco, black beans, salsa verde, and crisp vegetable chips. These are what vegetarian’s dreams are made of.

Obviously we have a ton of salsa and guacamole. For those of you who don’t know, avocados are like kryptonite for vegetarians. Who needs meat when you can have avocados?

Dallas Fish Market

We have two salads. One amazing beet salad (beets are the best), and the Market Salad that combines caramelized onions, spiced walnuts, and gorgonzola for an amazing flavor.

Sushi is not the first thing you think of when you say “vegetarian” but most vegetarians love a good veggie roll. Our vegetable roll has carrot, cucumber, avocado, and roasted pineapple and more importantly it makes us feel like we fit in.

Dallas Chop House

Oh, did you think our meatiest restaurant had nothing for vegetarians? So maybe if you’re a vegetarian you wouldn’t be drawn to a name like Dallas Chop House, but we’ve all been there, dragged by our friends to an awkward birthday lunch where you’re stuck nibbling on bread.

Our Rosemary Focaccia Veggie Sandwich has marinated Portobello mushrooms (MUSHROOMS!), roasted red peppers, goat cheese, hummus, caramelized onions and arugula.

Don’t forget our Orecchiette Pasta with wild mushrooms (Yes, more mushrooms!) arugula and parmesan. I mean honestly, who doesn’t like pasta? That’s right no one.

Chop House Burger

Our Green burger is made with falafel and topped with tzatziki and hummus, which is basically a perfect trifecta of vegetarian favorites. Don’t forget all of our fries are meat free…just don’t add chili.
