Do's Always fill up the cheque yourself .
Cancel the words "or bearer" & write "A/c payee" on the top-left corner to avoid cheque misuse.
Write "only" after amount in words and put "/-" after the amount in numbers.
Write clearly and legibly & always use permanent ink pens such as a ball pen in blue or black colour.
Sign only in space provided above the 'name of the account holder' or 'authorized signatory' fields.
Sign clearly to ensure the chequeis not bounced due to mismatchin the signature.
Strike through unused space in the name and amount fields to avoid any unauthorized additions.
Please validate the identity of third party if handing over cheques for any loan or insurance offering.
Don'ts
Do not leave wide blank spaces in fields like payee name, amount in words and numbers.
Do not overwrite, scribble, cancel or rewrite on a cheque Handling cheques.
Do's
Handover a cheque only after correctly filling all details i.e. date, payee name, amount in words and numbers.
Ensure your account has sufficient funds before you issue a cheque.
Report loss of cheque leaves to bank immediately and request stop payment. If multiple cheques are lost, request stop payment on the entire series.
In the event of any alterations/corrections, a new cheque leaf should be used.
Write "cancelled" clearly across the face of the cheque to suitably deface it and make it unusable.
Don'ts
Do not keep pre-signed blank cheque leaves.
Do not disfigure or damage the MICR band at the bottom of the cheque in any way.

Mr. Parvej Ahmed Khan is a Commerce Graduate with a Master’s Degree in
MBA. He joined Shriram Group in January 2003 at Shahdol , later was elevated as Asst
Branch Manager of Shahdol Branch in 2009 and now he is the Senior Divisional Manager of
MP Division I (Jabalpur) .
Mr. Parvej with his solid and consistent performance accomplished the goals set for him and
has earned his due recognition in the organization. His career graph has been rising steadily
in tune with his achievements.
The retail finance business of Shriram City Union Finance Ltd. started in Madhya Pradesh in the year 2006 initially
with financing of consumer durable goods . In the year 2006 two verticals viz. Two Wheeler Loans & Fixed De-
posit were added to the portfolio. Mr. Parvej was made in charge of developing these verticals.
The most important highlight in his career has been the financing of approximately 4000 TW from his division.
Jabalpur Branch under his control is in the TOP 5 position PAN India with achievement of 1063 vehicles , also 5
branches under his control are in top 100 positions PAN India in NOV 2016 Business.
Mr.Parvej steered the business successfully to the present AUM which is around Rs. 72.34 crores (Rs. 70.95 crores
TW, Rs. 45 lac FW, 93 lac TF/PL) & it continues to grow. In the last decade the disbursement in these two finan-
cial products (TW & FW) has risen to the tune of Rs. 14.14 crores. This is a remarkable achievement.
During this period he has been elevated from being a Marketing Associate to Team Leader to Asst. Branch Man-
ager to Branch Manager to Divisional Manager to eventually Senior Divisional Manager now.
IT MAY NOT BE OUT OF PLACE TO MENTION HERE THAT MADHYA PRADESH IS IN THE FIFTH PO-
SITION PAN INDIA IN TW DISBURSEMENT.
MR. PARVEJ EMPHATICALLY ATTRIBUTES THE PROGRESS IN THIS SEGMENT TO “ENTIRE TEAM”
WITHOUT WHOSE DEDICATION & SUPPORT THIS ACHIEVEMENT COULD NOT BE POSSIBLE. KU-

Mr. Parvej has always encouraged his staff and called upon them to use their potential to the fullest. Mr. Parvej
attributes his success to the unstinted support he has received and both his team and his seniors.

Mr. Taranjeet Singh, has done his Graduation in Business Administration and
Master Degree in MBA Marketing. He joined Shriram City Union Finance Ltd. as a Man-
agement Trainee in October 2013 at Jabalpur branch.
Mr. Taranjeet with his solid and consistent performance accomplished the goals set for him
and earned his recognition in the organization. His career graph has been rising steadily in
tune with his achievements. He got elevated as Management Trainee & subsequently as
Assistant Manager of Shriram City Union Finance Ltd. Indore.
Mr. Taranjeet proved his mettle in marketing of Two Wheeler products in Ratlam Branch
as a Branch Head. He steered the business of TW successfully and add a new achievement in his account.
After their tremendous performance in TW business, he got a chance to be the part of Pilot Project as a Change
Leader in project “PARIVARTAN”.
