PANTO
It was lovely to see all our children enjoy the
panto again this year at the Palace Theatre
but we have decided to make this trip a
bi-annual event rather than yearly. As you
can imagine it takes a lot or organising and a
lot of chasing of money to enable it to
happen and for it to run smoothly.
Oh yes it does!
CHRISTMAS FAIR
Friends of Heronswood would like to thank
you for your support at this event which
raised a fantastic £800. It has been agreed
that some of that money will be spent on
books for our Key Stage 2 children to enjoy.
SPONSORED SILENCE
Just before Christmas the Year 5 and Y6
children took part in a sponsored silence.
The children raised over £650 for The British
Red Cross, thank you so much for
everyone's support.

ASDA COMMUNITY TOKENS
We have been made aware that we have
been kindly nominated to appear on the
community board at Asda Kidderminster. This
means you will be given a green token to
vote for us when you shop there. The winning
community project then receives a donation
up to £1000.00. Please get shopping and
voting as this would be a very welcome
boost to our funds and enable us to further
enhance your child’s experience here.
Please share this with family and friends -
Thank you.
HAPPY NEW YEAR & WELCOME BACK
Welcome back to all our children, families and friends; we hope you have had a lovely
Christmas break and are looking forward to the Spring Term. The children have already
started their new topics; Pre-School and Reception children are learning about ‘When I Grow
Up’, Years 1 and 2 are learning about ‘Carnival of the Animals’, the Year 3 and Year 4
children are learning about ‘Mythical Mayhem’ and the Year 5 and Year 6 children are
learning about ‘Earth Song’. Over the next few days the children will be bringing home their
topic webs to share their learning with you.
