The “Lent”that culminates in “‘Easter” teaches (taught) us the meaning of faith and what it is to feel the Lord’s blessing in our lives. Beloved members of Sacred Heart Parish!. I take this opportunity to wish each of you LIFE, JOY & PEACE. One who has lost a 100 Dollar note would be happy on finding It; Or one that has suffered loneliness would rejoice on finding a supportive friend. One that had reached the end of his strength and hope in sickness would have a reason to celebrate on a recover; only the one who has felt the separation from God due to his/her misbehavior, a death or SIN can and will rejoice RESURRECTION. Easter is more than just eggs and candy. It is also about peace, love, and family. Easter symbolizes the renewal of life. I wish you and your family the renewal of

life, love, and happiness.

This past week, April 8h/9th —our 41st week of the fiscal year, we only sold only $1,100 in cards With last week, we have sold over $469,000 SCRIP cards and made Sacred Heart almost $15,000 since 2012. We are on track to sell over $79,000 in cards this fiscal year and make the church almost $3,100. We have 179 customers” in our SCRIP program. We need to pick up the pace to make this program successful.

Very early in the morning after the Sabbath, Mary Magda-lene went to the tomb to anoint Jesus’ body with precious oils. The reward of this good and conscientious steward was to be the first to know that Jesus had been raised from the dead! Alleluia!

We prayed, fasted and gave alms—and now we celebrate Easter joy! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice

Bowl ends as we encounter our risen Lord. We re-flect on our brothers and sisters whom we have walked with in India, Zambia, El Salvador, Mexico, Ethiopia and Hawaii. And we commit to bring East-er joy to each person we meet in our daily lives. Don’t forget to turn in your CRS Rice Bowl.

La semana pasada, 08/09 de abril - nuestra 41 sema-na del año fiscal, vendimos más de $1100 en tarjetas. Con lo de la semana pasada, hemos vendido más de $469,000 en tarjetas SCRIP y recaudado más de $15,000 para Sacred Heart desde 2012. Pascua! Nuestro viaje de Cuaresma con el Rice Bowl de CRS termina cuando encontramos a nuestro Señor resucitado. Reflexionamos sobre nuestros hermanos y hermanas con los que hemos caminado en la India, Zambia, El Salvador, México, Etiopía y Hawai. Y nos comprometemos a llevar la alegría de Pascua a cada persona que encontramos en nuestra vida cotidiana. No olviden entregar su tazón de arroz CRS.

Our parish and school are celebrating 125 years of being a part of the Springfield Community! We will have a cook out, games, activities, inflatable, etc...from noon-3pm on Saturday, April 22nd. Then Abbot Benedict Neenan from Conception Abbey will be celebrating the 4pm Mass with us on that same day. Almost everything is FREE. We invite everyone from the Catholic family in Springfield and surrounding areas.

A special thank you to all of those that participated in last week’s Reenactment of the Passion of Christ.

What a way to start the Holy Week! It was a wonderful performance that brought together the parish community. The acting portrayed such feeling and emotion that touched every heart in the church. Thanks for the dedication of the cast, helpers and specially to Carmen Perez for directing it.
