Transportation Reminder In an effort to help the Transportation department keep track of the mileage, driver, destination, and reason for each vehicle that is driven on a monthly basis, please follow these steps: When you pick up a vehicle, you will receive a packet with a set of keys and several forms. All sheets must be filled out for state and billing purposes before you leave the transportation parking lot. When picking up the vehicle, be sure to arrive early enough to fill out the paperwork. Before returning the packet information, please double check to make sure the beginning and ending mileage, driver’s name, vehicle #, destination and reason for the trip are filled out. If you have any questions, please call the Transportation department or email [email protected]. Andover Central Sub-State Football Game e Jaguars play the Topeka Hayden Wildcats Friday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the district stadium. is is the first time Andover Central has made it to sub-state since 2008! As this is a post- season game, season passes and staff IDs are not accepted for free admission. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students, children and staff. Emporia State University offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education (BSE) at Butler Community College in Andover and El Dorado.

Our Program n The Butler/Emporia Students to Teacher (BEST) program is perfect for adults working both inside and outside the K–6 educational arena. During your first year of study, courses are offered in the late afternoon and evening in Andover and during the day in El Dorado, as well as online—ideal for individuals who are balancing school, life, and work.

n During the second year of study, you will participate in Emporia State’s award winning Professional Development School (PDS) program. At this time, courses are offered during the traditional, K-6 school day, and require you to be available during the entire school day.

n Our current PDS partner schools are in the following area districts: USD 259 Wichita, USD 375 Circle, USD 402 Augusta, and USD 490 El Dorado.

n Upon successful completion of all BSE requirements, you are recommended for Kansas Teacher Certification, grades kindergarten through six.

n The BSE program is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Kansas State Board of Education.
