エリザベス朝発音で観るハムレット

英国俳優ベン・クリスタル（Ben Crystal 氏主宰 The Shakespeare Ensemble による講演及び公演。 A lecture and performance by Passion in Practice, a theater company led by British actor Ben Crystal.

ベン・クリスタル 氏 略歴

イギリス生まれの俳優、文筆家、演出家として多彩な活動を展開。The

Shakespeare Ensemble 主宰。特にシェイクスピア劇をエリザベス朝当時の

「オリジナル発音」で演じることで有名。（父親で言語学者 David Crystal とともに現代英語とオリジナル発音版の比較対象を紹介、解説した The Open

University（英国版「放送大学」）での放送も好評であった。英国内のみなら

ず、日本を含むさまざまな国での公演活動を精力的にこなしている。

About Ben Crystal

Ben Crystal is a British-born actor, writer and director who runs The Shakespeare Ensemble. This company is famous for performing Shakespeare plays

with the “original pronunciation” of the Elizabethan era. Together with his father, the renowned linguist David Crystal, he pioneered the

comparison of versions of Shakespeare’s plays in the original and modern pronunciations. This resulted in a highly popular broadcast for Open University.

He has been giving performances in various countries including Japan.
