Today you will compose a fun Halloween short story. Not too scary though! Here are the requirements for the story: 1. Use the correct heading, indent your paragraph, always use spelling/grammar review. 2. Save to Dropbox as: Example Student 4A or B 3. This will be double spaced , the setting is in the HOME tab in the paragraph group LOOK FOR IT BEFORE YOU ASK! 4. The story should fill up one page and be about 5-9 sentences. 5. I will explain font style and size in class. 6. Title should be centered in WORDART. 7. Use one of the story starters but be CREATIVE! 8. There should be at least one example of onomatopoeia. 9. PART 2… Now that you have your story you need to use formatting techniques to add visual interest.

Insert 3 clipart pics into the document using textwrapping. Images can replace words if

they make sense in the story.

Create a border around the whole page or use a background image

o The image must relate to your story, it can be a custom watermark or an image

placed behind text and recolored so that it doesn’t take away from the story.

Change the font of certain key words in your story for emphasis. Use bold and

underlining too.

Extra credit for using the INSERT SHAPES menu or using a callout.
