Donation of $3,000 made to Fr. Zucchi, director of the Little Schools in Port-au-Prince, to assist with providing earthquake relief. Part of this donation also helped fund acontainer shipment of food from Feed My Starving Children.

Reiser Relief participated in a joint non-profit effort for earthquake reconstruction ofTerre Promise School. Reiser Relief joined Mission of Mercy, Sacred Heart HaitiMission, and Healing Haiti, as each group donated $10,000 for school reconstruction.Terre Promise School remained open while two other schools (Catholic and National)

were destroyed by the earthquake. Completed repair work included the main level floorredone and a new bathroom installed. A top-level deck also was converted into classroomspace and metal bars to protect students were added. Additionally, food and books were

Quote: "It typically was late each Sunday before I'd have an opportunity to set down on paper my thoughtsfor the columns that would become the weekly Reiser'sRamblings. Often, it was midnight and the only sound in the

rectory was the hum coming from the refrigerator. I would sitat the kitchen table - always with a bowl of ice cream becausethat is my favorite treat - and look at the blank page. BeforeI'd start I'd offer this quick prayer: "God, what will we writeabout this week?"

All profits from the sale of Reisers Ramblings go to
