Exfoliate and Moisturize - Flaky skin and other skin impurities prevent any makeup product from being well absorbed and retained. However, be careful not to over moisturize and let the moistur-izer set in for at least 15 minutes before makeup application.

Don’t skip on the primer- The silicone on primers will smooth over your pores and the skin’s fine line to better prepare the skin to absorb the makeup and to even out the coverage. Primers will also prevent your skin from producing oil that will melt your makeup.

Consider your skin type - If you have an oily skin, choose oil-free products and try powder formulations. Skip moisturizing the T-Zone areas that tend to produce more oil.
