Guardian Donors Guardian Donors (minimum $250,000 donation) comprise our most generous philanthropists who are committed to making a lasting impact utilizing the power of Hadassah. Their vital support creates opportunities to improve lives. Members of this elite group are invited to participate in special missions with exclusive program offerings and private events throughout the year. An integral part of our most intimate circle, Guardian Donors receive regular insider reports and phone briefings from leaders in the United States and in Israel. Their names are etched in recognition walls in Israel in the building of the project they designate for their support, and Hadassah hosts memorable dedication ceremonies in honor of their generosity. Guardians of the Future, Hope, Zion and Tomorrow Donors (minimum donation of $1,000,000) also have their names in the lobby of Hadassah’s National Headquarters in New York.

FoundersAt Hadassah, reaching the Founders level (minimum donation $36,000) marks a special milestone in giving. Founders receive beautiful certificates commemorating their gift and once the full gift has been fulfilled, their names are engraved on a Founders wall in Israel. Once supporters reach the Circle of Founders level (minimum donation $72,000), they are entitled to recognition on a Circle of Founders wall in Israel. Our Young Founders level (minimum donation $15,000) provides the opportunity for supporters under 46 years of age to join a giving society and earn many of the privileges associated with being a Founder, including name recognition in Israel.

Society of Major Donors Members of our valued Society of Major Donors (minimum donation $120,000) enable Hadassah to fulfill its lifesaving mission through their significant support. They receive seasonal updates on the impact of their gifts and are invited to participate in high-level conference calls with Hadassah’s National President and Project Chairs. They enjoy private meetings, receptions and dinners with distinguished VIPs, and receive preferential seating at National gatherings. Their names appear on striking Society of Major Donor walls in Israel.

Society of Major Donors $120,000 to $249,999Payable over 5 years

ChaverimAt the Chaverim level (minimum donation 5,000), Hadassah supporters become Major Donors, demonstrating their steadfast commitment to the people of Israel. Often a first step, Chaverim donors gain access to Hadassah’s Major Donor network and begin earning special privileges, such as invitations to attend Major Donor receptions and priority communications from Hadassah. When in Israel, they are led on unforgettable VIP tours of Hadassah’s projects. Elegant certificates are presented to Chaverim and recognition on the Chaverim wall in Israel serves as a perpetual reminder of their generosity.

Partners for Posterity Partners for Posterity (minimum donation $5,000) support Hadassah’s lifesaving and life enhancing work through a planned gift or an annuity. Their generosity is recognized with an inscribed certificate and on the Partners for Posterity wall at Hadassah Hospital on Mt. Scopus, forever memorializing their legacy.

Each Major Donor Society is eligible to receive all of the cumulative benefits of the preceding Hadassah Donor Societies. Benefactors of Peace Benefactors of Peace (minimum donation 18,000) honor and celebrate Hadassah’s commitment to peace through medicine. Their meaningful support allows Hadassah to treat anyone in need, regardless of race, nationality or religion. Benefactors receive a certificate of thanks and have their names inscribed on a Benefactors wall in Israel. They will also receive Hadassah’s exclusive Major Donor magazine several times a year, which connects them with fellow Hadassah donors around the world and keeps them apprised of the profound impact of their gifts.

Benefactor of Peace $18,000 to $35,999Payable over 3 years

Charitable deductions are allowed to the extent provided by law. Hadassah intends to respect donors’ wishes regarding their gifts, however in accordance with U.S. tax law requirements regarding deductibility of contributions; Hadassah shall have full dominion, control and discretion over all gifts (and shall be under no legal oblication to transfer any portion of a gift for the use or benefit of any other entity or organi-zation.) All decisions regarding the transfer of funds to or for the benefit of any other entity or organization shall be subject to the approval of the Board or other governing body of Hadassah.

Cumulative giving can help a donor advance to the next level of giving. A donor’s gifts accumulate after an initial one-time gift of at least $1,000 given directly to or reported to the national office of Hadassah after March 1, 2012. (This must be a one-time gift of at least $1,000, which can be paid out over the course of 12 months.) Once a donor has qualified for cumulative giving, every single gift moving forward, regardless of the amount, is counted towards their lifetime total giving. Donors can move to the next giving level once their cumulative giving total reaches the established minimum amount for the respective giving level in accordance with Hadassah’s policies. *Estimated fair market values of the pins are effective as of July 2015 and represent the non-tax deductible portion of your gift: Guardians of the Future, Guardians of Hope, Guardians of Zion and Guardians of Tomorrow pin = $1,375; Guardians of Life, Guardians of the Dream and Society of Major Donors pin = $940; Circle of Founders and Founders pins = $600; Benefactors of Peace Pin = $250.
