Well, another season has come to an end here at the Fergus Curling Club. Leagues winding down, Little Rock Banquet, and of course the Championship Playoffs which were held over two evenings. The Little Rockers held their “Olympic “Themed Banquet – teams represented Canada, Japan, Norway, Australia, Mexico and Scotland. Cogeco Cable was there to film it all!

Little Rocks and Bantams - KW Monkey Bonspiel - April, 2016

Congratulations to our Little Rock Team for finishing 3rd overall at the bonspiel.

Well, the AGM on April 7th saw the season truly come to the end. For those of you who were not present (should have been), the current Board announced an Honorary Life Membership be awarded to Lynda Waterhouse for her time on the Board, including President, Coach of the Little Rocks and all that she has done for the Club. Lynda was nominated by one of her peers, Jacob Laitar. Also nominations for new Board Members were introduced. Membership voted in three new members to the Board - they are: Greg Moulton, Avon Giddings, Kevin Curran. Following the meeting the Board held a short meeting downstairs. Brian Gibbon nominated Les Hunter as our new President for next season. Board meetings begin once again on May 4th. Lots to do!

President’s Message: Janet Tolton thanked everyone on the Board for all their hard work and dedication over the past year. She also thanked the membership for their support. We thank you, Janet, you did an awesome job over your three years on the Board.
