2 Bulo — SL58

H2O is a Bulo classic designed by Bataille & iBens. A simple rectangular top on 4 cross-shaped aluminium legs. The table can function as work, meeting or dining table and fits in both classic and modern interiors. H2O table modules link together to become workstations and benching. The table tops are available in various wood veneers, laminates and leather. Finishes for the base: natural anodized, polished or bronze anodized aluminium or black and white powder coat.

In 2019, the design of the H2O celebrates its 25th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, Bulo developed with a wood version of the iconic cross shaped leg.

Claire Bataille and Paul iBens studied architecture together at the Henry Van de Velde Institute in Antwerp where they both received greatest distinction in 1962. In 1968 they decided to work together. 45 years later they are still partners. In the years of working together, Bataille and iBens have a list of impressive projects to their name, ranging from private residences, retail spaces and offices to public spaces. Besides architecture, furniture and objects have been a second passion of theirs. Consistently through their entire body of work, they have adopted the golden section, resulting in a minimalist visual language that continues to feel fresh and innovative, even half a century later. The duo received a lifetime achievement award from the Belgian organization for interior architects (AiNB) in 2009.

HPL Fenix: on chipboard with matching edge band, 24 mm thick h.723 - 803 mm h.723 - 763 mm on hdf with matching ABS edge band, 13 mm thick h.710 - 790 mm h.710 - 750 mm Fenix can only be applied on tops up till 1500 mm deep.

The position of the legs on the height adjustment elements sets the height of the top at installation.

Meeting tables / benchesTypes

These tables can be used both as workstations or as meeting tables

A bench is formed by 1 start module and 1 end module. For longer benches/meeting tables, add one or more connecting modules.

Example: 4 person bench (1 start module, 1 end module)

Example: 6 person bench (1 start module, 1 connecting module, 1 end module)

The modules are connected by a recessed central support, covered in black elastics to function as vertical cable guidance.

Because it is recessed, the central support provides leg space and allows for chairs to pass freely.

The central support also ensures a clean look, as if the whole bench/meeting table is supported only by the 4 legs on the outercorners.

Grommet positions

To ensure the correct cutout is made in the top, the type of grommet and its position must be indicated with the H2O table.

The grommet itself has to be ordered separately

Positions 2 and 6 are not possible in start, connecting and end modules HUB E3 and HUB EL grommets can only be positioned on 7, 8 or 9 in tables.

Positions 7, 8 and 9 are not possible for HUB grommets in single desks 2400 mm wide or wider and 800 mm or 1000 mm deep.

Positions are always seen from the user’s side.
