All of our products meet and exceed the ANSI / BIFMA strength and durability tests . David Edward utilizes an internal testing lab which is backed up by third party certified testing organizations .

Crumb-holes are featured on many of healthcare designs by incorporating either vertical or horizontal cleanouts . Any of our standard seating can be modified to include a clean out.

Water resistant barriers from Herculite, a patented barrier cloth, separate the upholstery from the foam, springing and frame. A long term solution for incontinence areas .

Catalyzed varnish f inish sys tem that protects and features the beauty of wood as the perfect solid surface ma te r i a l i n p a t i e n t cen te r environment. This patented finish hermteically seals the wood wi th two layers of polyester sealers that seal the pores of the wood. The finish is impervious to alcohol, blood, urine and bleach solution . An ultra – violet inhibitor protects the finish from direct sunlight.

Custom modifications can be developed to allow unique functions to be enhanced with our seating designs such as h ip height seat ing s tools , bladder lumbar for lower back pain and nuances that you find need to be addressed .

Field Reupholsterable seat inser ts are available on many of our designs facil itating the quick change via Velcro seat packages .

Flame resistant f ire codes such as Cal . 117 are available at no additional cost. California Tech Bullet in 133 is available on all of our designs along with NAFP fire code to prevent the welt from becoming the source of ignition .

Sleeping mechanism is a three position spring ratched back support. Ottoman extends on full extension heavy duty slides with a pop-up double metal armature which secures flush to the seat cushion. A 6ft sleeping surface is created when fully extended.
