Cutting From Fabric A, cut: 

(2) 5½" x width of fabric (wof) strips; crosscut into (10) 5 1/2" squares 

From Fabric B, cut:  (1) 8½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 8½" rectangles  (1) 5½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 5½" rectangles  (12) 2" squares  

From Fabric C, cut:  (1) 11½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 11½" rectangles  (1) 8½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 8½" rectangles 

From Fabric D, cut:  (8) 4½" x wof outer‐border strips  (9) 2¼" x wof binding strips  (1) 14½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 14½" rectangles  (1) 11½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 11½" rectangles 

From Fabric E, cut:  (2) 5½" x wof strips; crosscut into (10) 5 1/2" squares  

  

From Fabric F, cut:  (1) 8½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 8½" rectangles  (1) 5½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 5½" rectangles 

From Fabric G, cut:  (1) 11½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 11½" rectangles  (1) 8½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (20) 2" x 8½" rectangles 

From Fabric H, cut:  (1) 14½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (10) 3½" x 14½" rectangles  (1) 11½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (10) 3½" x 11½" rectangles 

From Fabric I, cut:  (2) 14½" x wof strip; crosscut into  (31) 2" x 14½" sashing strips  (8) 2" x wof inner‐border strips 

Making Block A After each step, press all seam allowances toward the newly‐added rectangles. 

1. Sew 2" x 5½" fabric B rectangles to opposite sides of each fabric A square.  

2. Sew 2" x 8½" fabric B rectangles to the remaining sides of each unit from step 1. Make  a total of (10) center units. 

3. Sew 2" x 8½" fabric C rectangles to opposite sides of each center unit. Sew 2" x 11½" fabric C rectangles to the remaining sides of each unit. Make 10. 

4. Sew 2" x 11½" fabric D rectangles to opposite sides of each unit from step 3. Sew 2" x 14½" fabric D rectangles to the remaining sides of each unit. Make a total of (10) A blocks. 

 

 

Making Block B After each step, press all seam allowances toward the newly‐added rectangles. 

1. Sew 2" x 5½" fabric F rectangles to opposite sides of each fabric E square.  

2. Sew 2" x 8½" fabric F rectangles to the remaining sides of each unit from step 1. Make  a total of (10) center units. 

3. Sew 2" x 8½" fabric G rectangles to opposite sides of each center unit. Sew 2" x 11½" fabric G rectangles to the remaining sides of each unit. Make 10. 

4. Sew a 3½" x 11½" fabric H rectangle to the right side of each unit from step 3. Sew a 3½" x 14½" fabric H rectangle to top of each unit. Make a total of (10) B blocks. 

 

 

Assembling the Quilt 1. Arrange and sew together (3) 2" x 14½" sashing strips, (2) A blocks and (2) B blocks, alternating them as shown in the photo. Press the seam allowances toward the sashing strips. Make (5) block rows. 

2. Arrange and sew together (4) 2" x 14½" sashing strips and (3) 2" fabric B squares, alternating them a shown in the photo. Press the seam allowances toward the sashing strips. Make (4) sashing rows. 

3. Alternately sew the block rows and sashing rows together, beginning and ending with a block row. Press the seam allowances toward the sashing rows. 

4. Sew the 2"‐wide fabric I inner‐border strips together end to end to make a long strip. Measure the length of the quilt top; it should be 76½". Trim (2) inner‐border strips to this length and sew them to the sides of the quilt top. Press the seam allowances toward the borders. Measure the width of the quilt top; it should be 64". Trim (2) inner‐border strips from the long strip to this length and sew them to the top and bottom of the quilt in the same manner. 

5. Sew the 4½"‐wide fabric D outer‐border strips together end to end to make a long strip. Measure the length of the quilt top; it should be 79½". Trim (2) outer‐border strips to this length and sew them to the sides of the quilt top. Press the seam allowances toward the borders. Measure the width of the quilt top; it should be 72". Trim (2) outer‐border strips from the long strip to this length and sew them to the top and bottom of the quilt in the same manner. 

6. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing; baste. Quilt as desired. Bind the edges to finish. Add a label to the back of your quilt and enjoy!
