A student attending the Adventure in Forestry and Environmental Studies program who completes high school and continues on to a post secondary education in a related field is eligible to apply for the $1000 bursary. Adventure in Forestry

The Adventure in Forestry program annually introduces 25 to 40 high school students to the wide variety of careers the forest and environmental industries have to offer. Not only are participants are able to work side by side with and ask questions of: mill staff , tree planters, nursery staff and forest fire personnel, students participate in a variety of tours and learn about related programs the University of British Columbia and the College of New Caledonia offer.

This program incorporates the latest technology providing new and innovative techniques with a first hand, on site experience.

We welcome students from all over Western Canada. Participation in this three-day event has shaped for many, careers and life paths.

Adventure in Forestry & ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES

& ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES May 10 - 14, 2017 • Prince George • BC

Experience and explore the many faucets of the forest and environmental industries. Open to students in grades 10, 11 and 12, participants spend 3 days touring Prince George sawmills, pulp mills, tree nurseries, reforestation sites, post secondary institutions and other related points of interest.
