The best-selling author and fashion entrepreneur Sigrun Lilja is the founder, CEO and the creative

director of Gydja Collection. Aged just 24, Sigrun Lilja started developing her own lifestyle brand, Gydja

Collection, armed with only 1500$ to build her dream on and her vision in mind. With her own sense

of style and a nose for business she managed to become a successful entrepreneur, designer and

perfumista within a short period of time, selling thousands fragrances and accessories around the

world.

The humble and optimistic business woman has a kind heart and a strong vision to give back by

We use leather from highest quality in addition to our environmentally friendly Icelandic fishleather. The Icelandic fish leather gives our collection a special exotic yet a stylish look.

We in Gydja Collection are known for using leather of the highest quality in all our products.Our fish leather has a natural cross-fiber structure in which the fibers run only in onedirection. This natural cross-fiber pattern makes fish leather stronger than “ordinary” leathers.

The Icelandic fish leathers used in Gydja Collection’s products is produced of Salmon, Wolfishand Perch, which is commonly caught for food. For this reason, these materials are a by-product reclaimed from food processing activities, as the animals are not raised with theexpress purpose of using their hides.

Geothermal hot water is used for the production of the Icelandic fish leather in ouraccessories which makes the production very efficient, environmentally friendly and arenewable resource. In addition, all electricity comes from a hydroelectric power station.
