Our father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, believed that all disease began in the gut. There is much modern evidence to support that this is true. Here’s why: Most diseases have chronic inflammaon as their root cause. Inflammaon begins in the gut and spreads elsewhere through the body. Therefore, if you can heal inflammaon at it’s root – in the gut – you can heal it elsewhere in the body. All of the issues below are caused by systemic in- flammaon (with an inflamed gut as the root cause) Digesve issues such as gas, bloang, diarrhea or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Seasonal allergies, sinus infecons or asthma. Hormonal imbalances such as PMS or PCOS. Diagnosis of an autoimmune disease such as rheumatoid arthris, Hashimoto’s thyroidis, lupus, psoriasis, or celiac disease. Diagnosis of chronic fague or fibromyalgia. Mood and mind issues such as depression, anxiety, ADD or ADHD. Skin issues such as acne, rosacea, or eczema. Achy joints, headaches, arthris Diagnosis of candida overgrowth or strong cravings for sugar or carbohydrates Food allergies or food intolerances. How does inflammaon in the gut lead to inflammaon elsewhere in the body? The cells lining the gut (small intesne) are connected by semi-permeable ght juncons that serve as important gatekeepers. They block the bad guys -- undigested food, bacteria, fungus, yeast, parasites and other toxins – and let in the good guys, absorbing the vital nutrients the body needs. Just like a good goalie on a soccer team, these ght juncons block all unwanted microbes and toxins from entering the body, while selecvely allowing nutrients to be absorbed. Now imagine that the same soccer goal inflamed to 2 -3 mes larger than its normal size. It would be a lot more difficult for the goalie to defend, right? The same is true for defending against pathogens when the gut is inflamed. Gut inflammaon compro- mises the ght juncons, leading to increased permeability and allowing harmful pathogens and undi- gested food to pass, or leak, into the body (Leaky Gut). This triggers an immune response where these toxins and undigested foods are tagged as "foreign invaders" and aacked by the body’s immune sys- tem which can lead to food allergies/intolerances. Our father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, believed that all disease began in the gut. There is much modern evidence to support that this is true.

Here’s why: Most diseases have chronic inflammation as their root cause. Inflammation begins in the gut and spreads elsewhere through the body. Therefore, if you can heal inflammation at it’s root – in the gut – you can heal it elsewhere in the body. All of the issues below are caused by systemic in-flammation (with an inflamed gut as the root cause) Digestive issues such as gas, bloating, diarrhea or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Seasonal allergies, sinus infections or asthma. Hormonal imbalances such as PMS or PCOS. Diagnosis of an autoimmune disease such as rheumatoid arthritis, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, lupus,

psoriasis, or celiac disease. Diagnosis of chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia. Mood and mind issues such as depression, anxiety, ADD or ADHD. Skin issues such as acne, rosacea, or eczema. Achy joints, headaches, arthritis Diagnosis of candida overgrowth or strong cravings for sugar or carbohydrates Food allergies or food intolerances.

How does inflammation in the gut lead to inflammation elsewhere in the body? The cells lining the gut (small intestine) are connected by semi-permeable tight junctions that serve as important gatekeepers. They block the bad guys -- undigested food, bacteria, fungus, yeast, parasites and other toxins – and let in the good guys, absorbing the vital nutrients the body needs. Just like a good goalie on a soccer team, these tight junctions block all unwanted microbes and toxins from entering the body, while selectively allowing nutrients to be absorbed. Now imagine that the same soccer goal inflamed to 2 -3 times larger than its normal size. It would be a lot more difficult for the goalie to defend, right? The same is true for defending against pathogens when the gut is inflamed. Gut inflammation compro-mises the tight junctions, leading to increased permeability and allowing harmful pathogens and undi-gested food to pass, or leak, into the body (Leaky Gut). This triggers an immune response where these toxins and undigested foods are tagged as "foreign invaders" and attacked by the body’s immune sys-tem which can lead to food allergies/intolerances. It also prevents vital nutrients from being properly digested, absorbed and assimilated. This chronic inflammation and immune response cycle left un-checked over time can lead to auto immune issues. Often, when inflammation becomes chronic, there are often no discernible symptoms until there is a loss of function.

What triggers gut inflammation? The consumption of inflammatory foods, including too much sugar, alcohol or foods they are sensitive to, or eating under stress, infections like candida, parasites, and small intestine bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), toxins, chronic stress, dehydration, antibiotics or medications like aspirin or steroids.

5 Steps to Heal Gut Inflammation Healing the gut requires a combination of dietary changes, along with select supplements and essential oils. As we are all bio-individual, we encourage you to work directly with a healthcare practitioner to customize the 5 steps below to your specific needs.

1. Support Optimal Digestion: Impaired digestion can contribute to inflammation. One of the most im-

portant elements of healing the gut is to eat in the optimal rest and digest Parasympathetic state. You can do

this by really taking time to sit down, relax, and breathe before eating. We also recommend applying a drop of

Vibrant Blue Parasympathetic oil to the vagal nerve (behind the earlobe on the mastoid bone) before meals to

trigger optimal digestion. You might also consider Pancreatone Oil to support digestive Enzymes and Vibrant

Blue Detox Support Kit to support optimal detoxification.

2. Reduce Inflammation: In order for the gut to heal, you need to remove the source of damage. This could

include inflammatory foods, medications, alcohol and intestinal infections. Consider a strict elimination diets

that remove all grains, sugar, dairy, corn, soy (and in some cases nuts, eggs and nightshades). You can also help

to reduce inflammation through topical application of Vibrant Blue Anti-Inflammatory oil rubbed clockwise

around the belly button 2 – 3 x daily.

3. Repair Intestinal Mucosal Lining: Healthy gut flora and mucosal lining are critical for absorbing nutrients

from food neutralizing toxic substances. To repair both, it is important to add in nutrient dense whole foods,

supplements and essential oils to support digestive weaknesses, including Intestinal Mucosal Repair Oil

rubbed clockwise around the belly button 2 – 3 x daily.to help restore the balance of healthy intestinal flora.

4. Stress Modifications: The body’s response to stress throws other systems, including the digestive and im-

mune system, out of balance and can seriously undermine efforts to heal the gut. Our adrenal glands help de-

termine and regulate the body’s stress response by secreting key hormones, like cortisol and adrenaline

(epinephrine). The health and resilience of these key stress response organs (along with the hypothalamus) de-

termine our tolerance to stress. So you want to keep your adrenals in tip top shape for all other healing to oc-

cur. To do so, consider minimizing stresses in your life and support your stress organs with Vibrant Blue Stress

Support Kit (including Adrenal Balance). The adrenals also play a key role in Blood Sugar Regulation. You

might consider supporting those organs with Vibrant Blue Blood Sugar Support Kit.

5. Sleep: Adequate, restful sleep is critical for maintenance and repair of the mind and body, including our

ability to think, to handle stress, to maintain a healthy immune system and moderate our emotions. This means

not only the ability to fall asleep, but also to stay asleep and achieve a restful REM state. For help falling asleep,

you might consider Vibrant Blue Oils Pineal Rhythm blend, which triggers the pineal gland to release melatonin

or Sleep blend for general relaxation. For night waking, consider the Vibrant Blue Blood Sugar Support Kit or

Vibrant Blue Detox Support Kit.

We advise you to consult a healthcare practitioner for additional nutritional and supplemental support.

ANTI-INFLAMMATORY™

Apply to areas of the body that are where

inflammation is experienced or suspected.

Not for oral use

The Professional Line ANTI INFLAMMATORY™

Blend is uniquely formulated to anti inflame and

assist in the regeneration of damaged or stressed

Some common inflammatory conditions include:

Inflammation is a normal process that occurs when your body’s white blood cells and chemicals protect you from

foreign invaders like bacteria and viruses. Most people don’t realize that you need some level of inflamma-

tion in your body to stay healthy, however it’s also possible, and actually common, for the inflam-

matory response to exceed what is physiologically appropriate. The inflammation then

creates damage to the tissues of joints, the arteries, the organ,

and especially the brain.

If your immune system mistakenly triggers an

inflammatory response when no threat is present, it

can lead to excess inflammation in the body. This

inflammatory state can cause damage to the tissues of joints,

the arteries, the organ, and especially the brain resulting in asthma, leaky gut, allergies, autoimmune disease, heart

disease, and cancer. For example, joints that have become arthritic or chronically inflamed from repetitive usage are

damaged by the inflammation itself

Prolonged inflammation, known as chronic inflammation, can be caused by a malfunctioning, over-reactive immune

system, or it may be due to an underlying problem that your body is attempting to fight off. Many of these “problems”

are actually due to an unhealthy lifestyle.

When inflammation becomes chronic there are often no symptoms until a loss of function occurs. This is because

chronic inflammation is low-grade and systemic, often silently damaging tissues. This process can go on for years

without noticeable symptoms, until a disease like heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s or autoimmune disease like multi-

ple sclerosis, ulcerative colitis, or rheumatoid arthritis develops.

The Professional Line INTESTINAL MUCOSAL™

is uniquely formulated to gently permeate topically

through the skin and heal the mucosal lining.

Healing the small intestine is a critical component of all elimination diets and efforts to reduce systemic in-flammation, including digestive dysfunction, chron-ic pain and fatigue and auto-immune conditions. Topical application is an especially powerful tool for anyone with impaired digestion who might struggle to digest, absorb and assimilate nutrients via the diges-tive process.

Apply Massage 2—3 times per day over the

small intestine area (in a clockwise circle around

the belly button) or at duodenum (Upper right

quadrant starting at the pyloric Valve, 2" below

xyphoid) or to the Chapman Reflex for small in-

testine (intercostal 8.9.10).

You can also apply on a warm wet towel com-

press. It also helps to smell the oil.

INTESTINAL MUCOSA™

The small intestine, and the intestinal mucosa that keep it healthy, play a critical role in digestion and immune function. It is through the small intes-tine, not the stomach, that the food we consume is absorbed and assimilat-ed into the body. The small intestine also serves as a barrier and a gatekeep-er for our immune system, keeping undesirable organisms, like undigested food particles and pathogens (bacteria, fungus, yeast, toxins and parasites) from passing through the intestinal lining into the body. The intestinal mucosa protects the cells and nourishes “good” bacterial flora which in turn feeds the lining of the small intestine keeping it robust, healthy and able to support the final steps of digestion, allowing only appropriately digested food particles to be absorbed.

Healthy Intestinal Mucosa = Healthy Digestion and Immune Function

Restoring Healthy Digestive Function

The Professional Line PARASYMPATHETIC™ Blend is

uniquely formulated to stimulate the parasympathetic nerv-

ous system to optimize digestion, absorption and assimilation.

Triggering the parasympathetic

response for optimal digestion

PARASYMPATHETIC™

The brain and the autonomic nervous system

need to be in a parasympathetic state to sig-

nal the vagal nerves, (two cranial nerves that

extend from the brain stem to the abdomen).

When you stimulate the parasympathetic

nervous system, all downstream digestive

function improves.

Digestion Begins in the Parasympathetic State

Test Against Digestive points and

Vagus Nerve (behind ear, anterior to

mastoid bone on the neck). To LNT,

apply oil to vagus nerve and re-palpate

digestive points.

Apply before meals to vagal nerve

(behind earlobe on mastoid bone)

This triggers all the parasympathetic responses in the

digestive cascade, including stomach production of HCL,

the release of pancreatic enzymes, the gall bladder’s

release of bile for fat digestion in the duodenum, the work

of brush border enzymes in the small intestine and all the

sphincters including the lower esophageal sphincter.

PINEAL RHYTHM™

The Pineal Gland is a small endocrine gland located near the center of

the brain that resembles a tiny pine cone.

The pineal gland is involved in several functions of the body including:

Produces and secretes the hormone Melatonin

Modulation of the circadian rhythms (sleep-wake cycles) and

seasonal functions.

Regulation of Endocrine Functions

Conversion of Nervous System Signals into Endocrine (hormone)

signals.

Causes Feeling of Sleepiness

Influences Sexual Development Adrenal Dysfunction = Circadian Rhythm Dysfunction Addressing Pineal Gland function is a critical factor in rebalancing the adrenal output of cortisol. Our cortisol

rhythms are supposed to be highest in the morning and then wane as the day wears on. When people are

active at night and slow in the morning, the cortisol patterns are reversed.

This throws off the circadian rhythm because cortisol and melatonin have an antagonistic relationship.

Elevated cortisol levels at night actually turn off melatonin production. Similarly, if melatonin is elevated

then cortisol is depressed. So, without melatonin going up cortisol won’t go down, making pineal rhythms

an important factor in balancing the adrenals and blood sugar.
