GNIM is continuously engaged in enriching its students with the

optimum mix of Academic and industrial inputs to keep them

abreast of current developments and contemporary knowledge.

From the publication string of GNIM, I feel privileged to present

the latest issue of GNIM’s Bi-annual Newsletter- “Communique.”

It is a medium to provide a glimpse of tremendous efforts that

have been put in to nurture talent through both co-curricular and

extracurricular activities. At last, I Dr.Shubhra Saggar, Director

congratulate the editorial team for their endeavour for bringing the latest issue of Communiqué.

Orientation of PGDM,MCA and B.Com

For welcoming new students, Institute organised Orientation

Programme for PGDM 2016-2018, MCA 2016-2019 and B.com

2016-2019 on 3rd

August 2016. Manager Sardar Chaman Singhji

addressed the students and motivated them to work hard for

achieving success. Dr.Nidhi Khurana as HOD provided

information to the students about the college infrastructure,

discipline, facilities, co-curricular activities.

GuruPurab celebration at GNIM

On Guru Harkishan Sahibji’s Birthday on 5th August and on 24

th

November, Guru Nank Devji’s Birthday, was celebrated at GNIM

as a part of spiritual learning students and faculty members

participated In the event. Gurubani was recited by the staff

members and students. Guru ka langar was served to all students

and staff members. Akhandpaath Samapathi was also celebrated.

20 Years of GNIM Excellence

The institute celebrated 20 years of GNIM excellence on 5th

August

2016, Manager Sardar Chaman Singh Ji gave a motivational speech on

future prospects of GNIM. Dr.Nidhi Khurana (HOD) provided

information on our previous achievements and future plans of the

institute.

Independence Day

GNIM celebrated 70th Independence day on 15

th of August in

the honour of the birthday of nation. The flag hoisting was

done by Special Guest Ms. Satvinder Kaur Sirsa, Counsellor

MCD and Chairman, Sardar Gurdev Singhji Gujral and

Manager Sardar Chaman Singhji. National Anthem and

patriotic songs were recited by students. Sweets were

distributed to students and staff member.

Seminar on Motivation

The institute organised a seminar on Motivational and Skill Development

Talk for Management Professionals on 22nd

Workshop on Spoken Tutorial in FOSS

The institute organised a Workshop on spoken tutorial in FOSS

for MCA students conducted by IIT Bombay . The programme

training planner included different software courses of computer

languages according to different semesters .The language areas’s

are java programming ,Linux and shell programming lab C & C++.

Fresher’s Party

Students of GNIM celebrated fresher’s party on 31st August at

GNIM Auditorium. The day was filled with joy and excitement,

music and events. Various performance like dance, acts and songs

were presented by the students .The students enjoyed lavish lunch

followed by DJ. Prizes were given to GNIM ‘s Mr. & Ms.

Fresher .Mr. fresher award was given to Mr.Nitin Bari of PGDM-

1st semester and Ms. Fresher award was given to Ms. Sayantima

Paul BCom-1st Semester

Teacher’s Day celebration

5th September is celebrated as teachers day as a tribute to Dr. Sarvepali

RadhaKrishan ,an academician and 2nd

president of India .On the occasion

the chairman of the institute Sardar Gurdev Singhji Gujral, honoured the

faculty members. Students organized special cake cutting ceremony for the

faculty and organized programmes like games and performances.

Seminar on Data Analytics SAS

SAS is the latest buzz in the industry. A workshop on Data Analytics SAS by

Mr.Rajender Kumar, the project head of HEAD STAR EDUCATION, was

conducted on 8th Setember.2016. Mr.Rajender Kumar provided students with

latest inputs on SAS application.

Seminar on General Grooming and Interview Technique

For improving soft skills techniques as a part of carrier

enhancing activity a workshop on General Grooming and

Interview Technique was organised by GNIM for MCA

student on 9th September, the same was lead by Ms.Priya,

Manager of Training Villas. She provided students few soft

skill techniques and gave exercises to do , all the students

actively participated in the event.

Workshop on Planning MBA

GNIM organised a workshop on Planning MBA for B.Com students on14th

September2016 for better life opportunity by Dr.NeelamDas Gupta a soft skill

trainer NITD. She provided students the way to get into MBA and how

students should plan for their specialisation which gives a way for students and

glorious future ahead.

Workshop on Art of Success

GNIM organized a Workshop on” Art of Success in education and Right

way of study for 100% success for the best result “on 20th September .The

honourable guest Sardar Gyani Gurvail Singhji, Chairman of Gurmat

Education Trust in Amritsar, delivered the tips to students on how to

become a successful person in their field .Students enjoyed the lecture and

got motivated from his suggestions.

Visit To Old Age Home

As a part of social activity, there was a day out to old age home on 14th

of October for GNIM students. The old people who stay over there,

shared their experience . Manager GNIM,Sardar Chaman Singh ji ,gave

inspirational speech and motivated everybody present over there to do

right things .Our Director, Dr.Shubra Saggar distributed gifts to the old

people.

Workshop on Android Application Development

A three day workshop was organised on “Android Application

Development” from 6th to 8

th October 2016. Mr.Mayank ,Android

trainer NITD , provided students the development inputs in the

android application.

IntraCollege Sports-“Gali Cricket”

India is a diversified country with different caste, race, culture and religion but

everybody likes Cricket, the only game in our country worshiped as a true

religion. GNIM organised Gali Cricket on 9th October 2016. Students from

MCA , PGDM and BCOM participated in the event and in every team

participation of one girl was compulsory for supporting the girls in every field.

Alumni Meet

A strong Alumni association makes the institute stronger .GNIM

organised Alumni meet on 23rd

of October 2016 to facilitate the

relationship between students and alumni. The Alumni’s helped students

to get right career path after they finish post gradation .Cultural events

and games were organised to entertain the Alumni’s. Memento’s and

gifts were distributed to the Alumni’s. Some of the Alumni’s shared their

experience with the students .The interaction of students and Alumni was

great.

Talentify Mobile base Platform

To promote placement activities institute organised a seminar on the topic

Talentify by ISTAR enabled students to enrol on to the platform for various

services like, Bench marking, Detailed feedback Services access to the

talentify job portal and also the training services to help students at different

proficiency levels to achieve a better bench mark score for their placement

activities.

GNIM celebrate “Verve”

The institute celebrated a Diwali fest. GNIM verve on 27th October 2016.

Two competitions were held Rangoli & Singing .Many other activities

were performed like games, dance and , Dandiya for enjoyment .Gifts

and tags were distributed to Mr.Verve & Ms.Verve, Mr.Ethnic &

Ms.Ethinic , Mr.Handsome & Ms.Beautiful and Mr. Enthusiastic &Ms

.Enthusiastic. prizes were given to the winners of the Rangoli &Singing

competition.

Alumni interaction on LINQ with objects

Alumni interaction on LINQ with object was organized in the month of

November for MCA students, by Mr. Inderpreet Singh Bindra ,Associate

lead Technology in Nagarro Software. He shared his views on the LINQ

based concepts .

Trip To Best Western Resort , Manesar

Institute organised a trip on 4th Nov 2016 to Best Western Resort

Manesar. It was a beautiful resort with well organised arrangements

like Buffet, Swimming Pool, Camel Ride and Horse Ride .Around 80

students joined the trip. Everyone enjoyed the food, rain dance and the

rides.
