Life Cycle • First they may or may not be born in a litter.• Then the mom nurses them.• After 4 days they can eat solid food. • After 5 months they are fully grown.

Wild Guinea Pigs

• They come from south America.• They make there homes between rocks and

barrows.• Wild guinea pigs live in a family group in the

high mountains.

Food • If they are wild they eat grass and other little

plants and little water.• They must be fed one slice of fruit.• They enjoy vegetables like carrots, peppers,

broccoli, beans and green leaves.• They also like strawberries, apples, grapes,

and melons.

• Guinea pigs are quite sociable.• If the guinea pig falls it can break its front

teeth.• It can be friends with a kitten.• But rabbets tend to ignore them or worse kick

them.
