Four live video feeds of Eugene project into the Broadway Commerce Center and control different sonic elements of a musical synthesizer that can be heard inside the space, making the cityscape a soundscape. City Synth is a collaboration between Harmonic Laboratory, South Eugene Robotics Team, and XS Media. 2 6 PM | Euphoria Chocolate Company (946 Willamette St) Andrea Ros exhibits her project “Apocalypse Carousel,” comprised of the artist’s Nuno and needle felted tapestry work. The show focuses on the urgent need to give the world and its life forms loving attention, while reminding us to make time to rejoice in the beauty and love all around us. 3 6:30 PM | Karin Clarke Gallery (760 Willamette St) Karin Clarke Gallery welcomes Bay Area artist and art teacher James Kroner. Known for his strong emphasis on composition, mood, light, and atmosphere, Kroner’s oil paintings are drawing interest on the national art scene. Karin Clarke recently traveled to northern Italy to study plein- air painting as a participant in a workshop led by Kroner and is thrilled to bring his work to Eugene. 4 7 PM | Le Café Maison (488 Willamette St) Le Café Maison joins the ArtWalk for the first time and features John Trovillion. He states, “My current work is done exclusively on jet black paper using oil based colored pencils. No fixative is needed and the colors are fully erasable using a polymer eraser. This method allows a lot of flexibility and portability and is visually stimulating to execute.” 5 7:30 PM | Framin’ Artworks (505 High St) “Resilient Endurance” is a combined show featuring the landscape and atmospheric work of artists Cyndy Duerfeldt (left) and Kelley C. Roberts. The intention of the show is to communicate that we gain strength from the natural beauty of our shared spaces here in the Northwest. Music: Cyndy Duerfeldt and her piano man perform a jazz repertoire. In this ArtTalk, Wilson W Smith III explores the role of Design Thinking from the feet up, to enhance creative expression, with the goal of a rich quality of life for all. This free event is open to the public and coincides with the First Friday ArtWalk. This ArtTalk is part of the Product of Eugene initiative, in partnership with the University of Oregon Department of Product Design, to connect the community with the field of Product Design. This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. 6 The Lincoln Gallery (309 W 4th Ave) “Call for Sunshine,” an exhibition of warm art with a common color theme of yellow to brighten up the winter months. This exhibit features work from artists with the OSLP Arts & Culture Program and from the community. The Community Room Gallery features “Visions Of Me: Self-Portraiture by Anthony Pope.”

7 MAVEN (271 W 8th Ave) Megan Dixon of Portland weaves connection between the conceptual and Avant-garde traditions in the fine art world and underground counterculture’s Transformational Art. Megan layers geometric patterns over organic images. Sample French Cookie, One Love Wines, and Maven’s steamed buns. Music: Marmalade (DJs).

8 The New Zone Gallery (220 W 8th Ave) Featured artist Robert Horner displays his woodcut natural forest scenes in “Northwest Images.” The Klausmeier Room houses a steam punk showcase by Michael Kerns. In

addition, Sarah Ashburn and Satysha Whitworth, students at Academy of Arts and Academics in Springfield, show work created during their internship with New Zone artists. Music: David Rogers on guitar.
