Getting Started Installing StatPlus:mac 1. Open the statplusmac folder in Finder. This folder is usually created under the Downloads folder when you download StatPlus:mac image. http://download.analystsoft.com/statplusmacle.zip If you are using browser different from Safari - please download StatPlus:mac using Safari browser. 2. Mount the SPM_58**.dmg image with double-click. 3. Drag StatPlus to the Applications folder. If you are asked to confirm replacing any existing copy - select Yes. 4. Drag StatPlus from the Applications folder to the Dock if you want to see StatPlus icon at the Dock permanently. Launching StatPlus:mac There are three ways to start working with StatPlus:mac. 1. (recommended) Launch your copy of Excel 2004/2008/2011, create or open your workbook, and make any necessary changes. When ready for analysis, click the StatPlus:mac icon in your Dock (or double-click the StatPlus:mac icon in your Applications folder). You should run StatPlus:mac this way if you have more than one copy of Excel application installed (e.g. you have both Excel 2008 and Excel 2011 installed). 2. Click on the StatPlus:mac icon in your Dock (or double-click the StatPlus:mac icon in your Applications folder) and run the Spreadsheet>Launch Excel command. 3.     1. Run StatPlus:mac from Applications. All the StatPlus:mac features could can be accessed

    from the StatPlus:mac main menu, shown below:

    2. Open the "Regression - Polynomial.xls" document from the Examples folder

    (Examples folder is located in the statplusmac folder, mentioned above).

  • 3. Click on the StatPlus:mac icon at the Dock, and run the from StatPlus:mac menu the

    Statistics>Basic Statistics>Descriptive Statistics command.

    Select the variables, i.e. column(s) or range, for each required field using the button.

    Please do not enter the range from keyboard.

    4. Click the button and StatPlus:mac will activate Excel window. Select the range with

    data:

    5. And click on the StatPlus:mac icon at the dock to send selected data to StatPlus:mac:

    6. You will see selected range in the data entry dialog:

    7. Finally - click the OK button. Please do not use Excel until the window with results is

    maximized.
