You are a blank slate.

You will never again have an opportunity like this. Nothing that you have done wrong up to this point counts

against you. Your current GPA is perfect Your attendance is perfect You discipline record is perfect Your teachers know nothing about you – you have the

opportunity to develop a good working relationship with each of them, which will be to your benefit.

So many of my last year’s seniors didn’t figure out much of this information until it was too late. They fought with teachers and then didn’t know why no one would write a good recommendation for them. They didn’t try in class and received poor grades – then they were upset because they received no scholarship offers and/or didn’t get into the colleges to which they applied. They didn’t come to school and were discipline problems when they were here, then didn’t understand why they couldn’t get jobs in the community.

RIGHT NOW, nothing is too late for you. Your record TODAY is clean and clear.

Last years seniors who DID figure all this out, who stacked the academic bricks, who developed good relationships with staff, who came to school, and who performed their best in class earned just under 8 million dollars in scholarships, 95+ percent of which was for academic considerations, not athletic. (BTW, ladies, our top athletic scholarship winner last year was female).

You have four years to create the skill set and relationships you need to be successful in this world. How will you spend this time?
