STEP 1Begin by registering on Sedex www.sedexglobal.com

You can register as a Buyer/Suppliers (AB Members) or a Supplier (B Members), depending on your requirements. Supplier membership costs £100 + VAT per annum

per site of employment. VAT is chargeable to UK companies only.

• Complete your Company Information• This will include choosing the number of sites you wish to register• Add your main contact (please note this is where all Sedex communication will be

sent).

STEP 2Register your sites of employment

These are sites owned by your company and used to produce or distribute products for Kingfisher.

To do this go to Company>My Company and then click on the button ‘Create New Site’.

Under Customer Supplier Reference, add your vendor code (also referred to as SAP number - this can be added at a later date if you do not yet have one).

It is a requirement of Kingfisher you ensure your Self Assessment Questionnaire(SAQ) includes questions on any purchasing you make related to the product(s),

including constituent raw materials. To activate the relevant questions you will need

to:

For at least one of your sites (preferably your Headquarters), in the Site Function(s) please answer YES to the survey question “Do you purchase products from suppliers

which are then traded with your customer(s)?”. If you are returning to add this link at

a later date/time go to Company>My Company and select your chosen site from your

list. Click Edit and answer “YES” and press “SAVE”.

STEP 3

Link to Kingfisher PLC (This is included in your notification email)

To do this go to Company>My Relationships and then click on the button ‘Initiate a Relationship’

Setting visibility rights

To set visibility rights for a new site (created after the customer was added): Go to

Company > My relationships and click Edit, check the site visibility boxes are all ticked

and click 'Submit'.

STEP 5Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) Completion

After adding a site of employment, users are automatically directed to complete the SAQ for that site.

Global SAQ function (Headquarters SAQ)

For suppliers with multiple sites of employment you can save time by enabling the Global SAQ function. This allows you to duplicate responses on company-wide policies

across all, or a selection of your sites.

More than 1 site - Go to Company > My company and scroll down to 'Global Self-

Assessment Questionnaire' and select SAQ to complete or edit the Global SAQ. From this page you can 'Apply to all sites'.

To apply the Global SAQ to selected sites only, go to Company > My Company and tick the box under 'Global SAQ Applied' for the appropriate sites.

To return to completing the SAQ: Company > My company, select the site name and then select the ‘Site SAQ' button from the Self-Assessment Questionnaire section,

then select 'edit' next to the relevant section of the SAQ.

STEP 6Uploading Audits

Upload a recent site audit for each site; to do this, Company > My company and click on the 'Initiate an Audit' button next to the relevant site.

Normally a third party auditor will upload the report. Sedex will send them a request to do this once you’ve entered their contact details.

Once your auditor has uploaded your report, you will need to validate it. To do this, Go to Audit > My audits, download a copy of the report now visible, and if you agree with

the information, click Publish.

STEP 7Adding your Suppliers

Customers can initiate relationships with suppliers as well as accepting a request to link.

To add a supplier: Go to Company > My relationships and select 'Initiate a Relationship'.

To accept a request from a supplier: Go to Company > My relationships and click 'Accept' under the 'Action' column.

Once the supplier has validated the relationship (or you have accepted the request) link them to Kingfisher via Company > My relationships and click the button ‘Link Suppliers to Customers‘ button. Select the correct Kingfisher subsidiary (s) from the left column and the supplier right column and then select 'Yes' when prompted.

Kingfishers preference is for your suppliers to register their own Sedex account and link to the correct Kingfisher subsidiary as an indirect customer. If you are unable to sign up your suppliers immediately, you will be obliged to add your suppliers using 'Create New Supplier Site‘ feature. You will then need to return to step 4 to give

Kingfisher visibility of that site.
