Prayer Needs • Our country and it's leaders
• Our Men's Ministry development
• Our Leadership:
- for wisdom and discernment
- for making decisions on needs of the congregation
FCCWR Bylaw Update
The leadership has finalized the revision of the by-laws, copies are available at both entrances, for everyone to review & ask questions. There will be a Congregational Meeting July 29th to vote, following the Sunday morning Worship Service.
Security Measures
The new security doors have been installed downstairs in the Edu-cational Wing. Please note that the men’s restroom that was in the hall-way is now a unisex restroom for the children during Sunday School and Worship service.
We are currently looking into other ways that we can increase the security of the church building (and attendees) whenever there is any kind of event. We will update everyone once plans are finalized.
Mission Trip to Portugal
Dan & Robin Been would like to have a Mission Team from our con-gregation visit them. During the Mission’s meeting in May we found out the majority of people could not go until sometime in 2019. If you are interested in the 2019 trip please contact Rich Harrison at [email protected] or 618-806-3133.
Respectfully submitted on behalf of the elders,
Rich Harrison

2019 Portugal Mission Trip Update– There will another meeting planned for a later date. These are the answers from the Beens regarding the questions that came up at our first meeting. 1) In 2019 we don’t have anything marked in concrete, so you can pick and propose the date. Temperature / weather wise I would suggest not earlier than late March (prior will be cold and rainy which could hinder prayer walking) but that’s up to you guys. April - July is great. As men-tioned even with reference to this year avoid August and even the 1st couple weeks of Septem-ber. The latter half of Sept - early November is fine. Latter part of November and December will be cold and possibly rainy but that’s up to you. 2) No vaccines needed. 3) Yes, only a passport is needed. As Americans you will automatically receive a visitor’s visa for the European union upon arrival - no need to do anything prior to arrival. 4) With relation to “work” projects. . . . . that’s a bit difficult to answer so far out - especially before knowing, more specifically, when a group would be coming. As a general rule, we wouldn’t “advertise” for a mission trip to include work projects. With that said however, hopefully by next year our host church will have found a new space. Depending on when we find that, what we find, there very well could be some projects asso-ciated with that. There could be potential within or around the space in São Marcos. I’m sure we could find a project around our house (and/or possibly a teammate’s house) but again, all that could be better determined closer to time, once we know when you’d be coming. With that being said, please look over your possible 2019 plans and see “when” would be best for you and let me know. I can then pick out the most popular time. Thank you all for your interest in this Mission Trip. In His Service, Rich Harrison 618-806-3133 [email protected]
