1. Anthro-book

Four groups of different age are considered:

• Group 1 or general age group corresponding to Spanish female or male population aged between 16 and 65 years. Analyses for this group are offered "free" at the project website.

• Group 2 corresponding to Spanish female or male population aged between 14 and 34 years.

• Group 3 corresponding to Spanish female or male population aged between 35 and 54 years.

• Group 4 is Spanish female or male population aged between 55 and 65 years.

Three main sections:

• "Description of measurements (MEASUREMENTS)“

• “Most popular sizes (SIZES)“

• "Charts Size (CHARTS)"

Before placing a new collection into the market, it is important to know the market share that the company reaches by its definition of sizes. Optimizing these figures will prevent the return of units and the rush to replenish stocks that have not been planned right from the beginning.

Optimal fit is only possible for people who fits into the ideal for an specific size and this is a real privilege.

So, most people are away from this ideal, so personalized changes in the shop are needed and can be use to fit more people.

However, those changes should be reduced by optimizing size charts. IBV can asses on pattern design so the garments could be adapted easily.

There is variability within the same size due to different body shapes and one body shape can be more frequent in one size than in another. IBV can study body shapes along the size chart of the company.

IBV can provide key measurement for an optimal fitting.

IBV can measure and asses pattern dimension in relation with anthropometric data of target populations. The company will get recommendations on needed changes for an optimal fitting of target populations.

Size increase sometimes involves changes in body proportions. IBV advises companies on the necessary changes in scaling their sizes to ensure an optimal fit in all their size chart. The company will reduce the number of items ensuring that their patterns provide an optimal fit in all sizes manufactured.

Size identification proposed by standards facilitate that the consumer could find the most appropriate size. In addition, it will contribute to avoid user confusion, hence to increase user satisfaction. IBV assesses the adaptation of size charts to European standard.
