•Based on cellular concepts, i.e. MS connects to nearby cells by searching the best one.

•Cells can be macro, micro, pico, femto according to coverage and capacity.

•Operating frequency: 900/ 1800/1900 MHz.

•NTC uses 900 and 1800 only.•124 carriers in 900 and 375 in 1800 MHz.•NTA issues 48 channels in 900 and 60

channels in 1800 MHz( but we are using more than that).

States of Namaste SIM.• IDLE: From purchase till the subscriber makes call. The subscriber is not registered to the

system and hence can not make or receive any call.

• ACTIVEAfter call is made, the state is active state. In the beginning, Rs. 500 is automatically added to its account and the validity period of 6 months is given. This is the working state of subscriber. The subscriber will remain Active as long as its account is recharged regularly.

• SUSPENDWhen the Active period of Pre-paid subscriber is finished, it goes into Suspend state. In this state, no voice call can be made or received even if there is remaining balance amount in the account. The subscriber can dial only the management number (1414 ) for recharge and balance query but can receive Short Messages. This period is 15 days and if subscriber recharges its account, the state is changed to Active and the remaining balance is also transferred.

• DISABLEWhen subscriber fails to recharge its account within Suspend period, its state is changed to Disable. Then pre-paid subscriber’s account balance will be reset to ZERO and can not make or receive any call except 1414 for recharge. This period is 30 days. The pre-paid account has to be recharged within this period if subscriber wants to retain the account (MSISDN). After this period, the number is permanently deleted from the system.

•Dial 1414 and listen.•Press 2 and listen. Then press 1 again for

account balance query.OR

•Each time you recharge your account, the system will inform you of your new account balance and expiry date.

•OR Dial *400#.

• GPRS for pre-paid: ▫ Registration charge: Rs 113 through mobile customer care center.▫ Usage Charge: 25 paisa per 100 Kbytes.

• GPRS for post paid:▫ Registration through SMS: send vgprs to 1400, registration is done

within 15 minutes.(dgprs for deactivation)▫ Unlimited Data: Rs 600 per month.▫ Usage charge: 25 paisa per 100KB.▫ GPRS configuration is different for different company and versions. All

info can be found at http://ntc.net.np/mobile/mob_gprsConfig.php▫ GPRS configuration is also done at our customer care centers.

For accessing internet/WAP through your mobile handset :-GPRS APN :- ntwapGPRS Home Page :- http://wap.ntc.net.np (You can use your favorite site link also)

Customer can use opera mini, a web browser by downloading it through m.opera.com. To chat and stay online, m.mig33.com and m.ebuddy.com can be used.

For accessing internet through computer by using GPRS service in your mobile phone :-APN :- ntnetLeave Username, Password and any other fields blank.

GPRS through computer.• Download PC suite.• Run PC suite.• Click Connect- to- Internet icon• Click setting icon• Type of connection is detected(Data cable or Bluetooth)• Next, Configure the connection manually• Next, Access point: ntnet (must be in small letters) , Rest as it is and

click ok.• Now go to Start on desktop.• click on Connect to• click on Show all connection• Then go to Pc suite Dial up• Right click , properties• set Dial no: *90#• click Apply.• Then go back to PC suite connect- to- internet and click connect.

•CRBT(Caller Ring back tone).▫Activation: send REG to 1455, CPW new

password.(Rs 1 per sms).▫Activation through dialing IVR no. 1609.(Rs

3 per minute).▫Creating an account at crbt.ntc.net.np.▫Order a crbt by sending DEF+crbt no. and

make it default by sending MR+crbt no to 1455.

▫Rs 10 per music clip valid for 15 days.

•Web-SMS.▫Send SMS to NTC mobile users through

web-portal http://websms.ntc.net.np/▫New users can sign up using PUK no for

post paid GSM and 19 digit SIM serial no at the back of prepaid SIM.

▫CDMA users can also register using mobile no and RUIM number/ FWP number in your RUIM card/ C-phone.

• Supplimentary services:▫Call forwarding: Already activated for both. Only air

time charge. Rs 2 for pre paid/ Rs 1.6 for post paid.▫Call waiting: Only for post paid. One time activation

charge is Rs 1000.▫Call hold: Similar to call waiting.▫Voice mail: Forward to 011614, to listen dial 011616.▫Friends and family: Select two mobile and one PSTN

no. Send FNF+mob1+mob2+pstn to 1400. Now can make call to these no’s at 90 paisa per minute.
