NGN – General

• Collaboration between SDOs and ITU-T is considered to be working well

• The issue was raised of different applications of IMSs existing that will require interworking. This is presently being studied by ETSI TISPAN

• The GTSC Resolution on NGN was approved (gsc10_gtsc3_22r3)

NGN – Architecture and Protocols

• There is a need for a coordinated global study of SIP profiles. There is a shared desire to move towards a SINGLE SIP profile solution.

• The desire to have a convergence of NGN signalling is now included in the revised NGN resolution.

NGN – End-to-End QoS

• There are existing questions related to the QoS work in ITU-T.

• ATIS stressed that the work on QoS must remain ITU-centric.

• It was considered that work on End to End QoS is progressing well and is covered in the revised NGN resolution. There is no need for a specific E2E QoS resolution.

NGN – Network Management

• Action on the Prime-PSO (ETSI): to ensure input on this HIS to GTSC4

NGN – Service Platforms

• This work does not need to be maintained as a stand-alone HIS, and will be included under the service of interworking HIS

NGN – Lawful/Legal Interception

• There was a call to further harmonize the work on Li in order to avoid overlap and improve coordination

• Agreed that all LI presentations should be handled in Joint session, GTSC specific parts should be handled only in GTSC

NGN – Security

• There was a call for ongoing efforts including collaboration between SDOs in upfront design for Security

• Updated GSC#10 Resolution agreed on Cybersecurity (gsc10_gtsc3_05r1).

NGN – Service of Interworking

• ACIF can no longer continue as Prime-PSO, ATIS will assume this role for future meetings.

• Service of Interworking will encompass the service platforms issue

• HIS renamed to Service Platforms and Interworking of Services

Home networking

• Home networking was agreed to become a HIS. ITU-T will take the lead on this HIS

• Overlap, relationship between Home networking and NGN needs to be recognised.

• New GSC#10 Resolution on Home Networking. (gsc10_gtsc3_06r1)
