Atharva SCALE has organized Regional Student
Workshop on 21st Century Grand Challenges the
first RSW held in Mumbai during September 27 to 29
2018 It focused primarily on project based learning for engineering students
Through this workshop students got chance to become
a part of SCALE India and it helped to enhance their
thinking skills along with leadership and team
building Sponsorship was provided for their ideas
along with Certificate from SCALE India signed by
Dr Krishna Vedula (Dean Emeritus at University of
Massachusetts Lowell)

IEEE TECHITHON 2018
IEEE TECHITHON 2018 is the annual inter-
collegiate Technical Festival of Atharva College Of
Engineering held during October 03 to 05 2018 The
theme for this year was ldquoEssentiardquo (EONIAN
ELEMENTS) This theme revolves around the idea of
Renewable Energy Sustainable Development and all
branches pertaining to it
The IEEE team aims to increase awareness amongst
the students regarding planet Earth and its issues by
creating solutions to real world problems that will
affect our planet in the years to come EXTC
department won interdepartmental competition in
IEEE Techithon 2018
International IEEE Day celebration
Atharva IEEE student chapter successfully celebrated
International IEEE Day on 15th October 2018
Chief Guest Dr Vinit Kotak ( Bombay section vice
chair) delivered a speech on Benefits of IEEE
membership for the Students

EXTC Department conducted Parents teacher
meeting on October 4 2018 for SE TE BE
students In the meeting studentrsquos academic
progress and behavior was discussed
The parents appreciated the effort taken by the
department in bridging the Gap between the
Parents and Teachers They also praised the
activities undertaken by department for
studentrsquos development Parents also gave
valuable suggestions for improvement
HAS Department conducted Parents teacher
meeting The parents were pleased with the
efforts taken by the department in bridging the
Gap between the Parents and Teachers
Majority of the parents who attended PTM their
Course Networking account is created
Electrical department has organized PTM on

Yatra Grand Finale at Nagpur on November 3
2018 Competition was organized by Maharashtra
State Innovation Society Govt of Maharashtra
They have won the prize for Innovation in
Healthcare category for the concept AUDARYA
to resolve the issues of amputees by providing a
fully functional arm at an affordable cost
MsNeha Chedda from the Electronics and
Telecommunication Department has successfully
bagged the bronze medal in State level Womens
Wrestling Competition on October 29 2018
SE (EXTC) student Mr Rayank Goswami was
selected for All India trekking expedition camp
NSS Atharva Volunteer Priti Bhole of TE EXTC won
second prize in district level elocution competition on
the theme Road safety on November 4 2018
Mandar V Vasaikar FE student won Silver Medal in
Reliance Foundations Youth Sports 200 meters
running event on November 4 2018

NPTEL Online Certification Courses
In the current semester 943 participants enrolled
for NPTEL Online Certification Courses out of
which 131 appeared for examination and 120
participants cleared the examination including 6
toppers

Academia and Industryrdquo
Atharva College of Engineering conducted One
Day Seminar on ldquoBridging the Gap between
Academia and Industryrdquo by Mr Hemant Kudtarkar

aim of this seminar was to enlighten the students
with the competencies of the newly graduate
engineers and the competency requirements of

IEEE TECHITHON 2018
IEEE TECHITHON 2018 is the annual inter-
collegiate Technical Festival of Atharva College Of
Engineering held during October 03 to 05 2018 The
theme for this year was ldquoEssentiardquo (EONIAN
ELEMENTS) This theme revolves around the idea of
Renewable Energy Sustainable Development and all
branches pertaining to it
The IEEE team aims to increase awareness amongst
the students regarding planet Earth and its issues by
creating solutions to real world problems that will
affect our planet in the years to come EXTC
