THE EARTHQUAKE ACTIVITY IN CZECH REPUBLIC

Population over 50 000

Cheb, there was the earhquake in 2008, the maximum intesity of earthquake was 4,7 on the Richter scale

Telc Earthquake 2009, 7.4 on the Richter scale and level of damage:•16 people died. •22,000 people evacuated over 50% still ‘unhoused’.•Provisional damage estimate €350m•1,000 premises destroyed. •The distance between Telč and Cheb is 300 km.
