motor skills, ‘Buzzi Bodies’ activities are
adapted to cater for ALL Pre-school and
Foundation Phase outcomes.
• We emphasize skills for
everyday tasks e.g.
Reading, writing,
memory and
listening skills.

• The Buzzi Bodies programme can be
adapted to cater for children with different
needs.
• Specially designed activities and
equipment may be used to assist a child,
e.g.
• Who uses a wheelchair,
• With low muscle tone,
• With auditory processing or
• Sensory integration delays.
Why are Fine Motor Skills Important?
• Fine Motor Skills enable people to do
many things in daily life...
• Using our fingers, hands and arms.
• Fine motor skills consist of reaching,
grasping, manipulating objects
and using different
tools like crayons
and scissors.
Activities that require fine motor skills:
• Zipping and Buttoning
• Picking a flower
• Writing
• Cutting with scissors
• Turning pages of a
book
• Brushing Teeth
• Opening a door
• Shaking someone’s
hands
• Painting
• Drawing
