GREENLIGHT CQUIN ACTION PLAN 2017-2019
We are Services for People who have a learning disability, (SPLD).
We have been asked to help mental health services to understand and work with people who have a learning disability and people who have Autism. This is called Greenlight.

What do the colours mean?
When you see Red – it means we still need to do this.
When you see Orange - it means we are working on this.
When you see Green- it means we have done it.
A list of difficult words and what they mean-
Assurance Team- Is a team of people who help services record and check we are doing a good job for
people getting help from our services.
Community Mental health teams (CHMT)- Are a team of people who help people who have mental health
difficulties to get better or live better lives.
CQUIN- Stands for The Commissioning for Quality and Innovation. NHS England set services goals to work
towards to make services better.
Crisis Resolution Home Treatment team- Are a team who help people who are having a mental health crisis
to get help and stay in their own homes.
Directors- The people who are in charge of the services.
Early intervention Service- Are a team who work with people who have just been diagnosed with a mental
health condition.
Greenlight – A plan to support services to help people with a learning disability to get help from mental
health services.
Inpatient Unit- A safe place in a hospital where people can go to get help when they have a mental health
crisis.
Intensive Support Team- Are a team who help people who have a learning disability and are experiencing
mental health problems or challenging behaviour.
LeDeR National Mortality Review-This programme checks why and how people who have a learning
disability have died and make sure the person was having the help and support they needed.
Liaison and Diversion service (LaDS) - Are a team who help vulnerable people who are going through the
criminal justice process. .
Link workers- Staff who want to work with another service to help make things better in their service.
Operational policy- A document which says how services work.
Pathway to Recovery (P2R) - Path to Recovery is a team who helps people who are affected by drug or
alcohol use. They work in Bedford Borough or Central Bedfordshire.
Progress chart- This is a piece of paper with a list of things we need to do and what we have done so far.
Psychological therapies –Psychological therapies are done by trained staff who listen to people talk about
their problems and think about things that can help.
Street Triage Team- This is a team of people who are experts in mental health and help people who are
unwell in the community.
Workstream- This is a group of people who work together to do one thing in the action plan. Some people
are doing the action plan. Some are doing the resource pack. Some are doing the training.
