Visitors: Visitors must report to Reception on arrival. NO Visitors allowed in Rooms without prior

arrangements.

No Smoking: in rooms or inside Lodge according to the National South African smoking regulations.

Rooms that are smoked in will be cleaned for the guests account at a R1000 penalty.

Smoking areas: Please smoke outside!!!

Check-in Time: 14:30 pm – make special arrangements for after 18:00 pm.

On arrival: an indemnity form will be filled in and the balance of the payment collected before the room

keys will be handed over.

Quiet time: 22:00 pm.

Check-out time: 10:00 am - On early departure i.e. before 7:00 am during the week and before 8:00

am on Sundays please make prior arrangement or check out the night before. Please ensure that

room keys and remote controls are handed back at reception or else put in mail box at reception gate

before departure.

Late Check-Outs: please advice Reception as the room may not be available if the room has been booked

by another guest for that day for late check-outs. Room rate will be levied as follows: 10:00 am – 13:00

pm, 50 % of the room rate and from 13:00 pm onwards 100% of the room rate will be levied.

There is a R400 penalty fee in the event of losing Room key and Gate Remote control.

Children: 0 - 2 Stay free / 2 - 12 years old = R150

BREAKFAST:

Accommodation either booked with Breakfast or without Breakfast as stated per quotation &

guest’s booking.

In the event guest booked with breakfast: breakfast available from 6:30 am – 10:00 am during the

week Monday – Friday and on Sundays between 8:00 am – 10:00 am, Breakfast is served in the Dining

room. On early departures for your convenience a breakfast pack can be arranged & packed the day

before and placed in your room, please make prior arrangement!

Breakfast consists of self service: Cereals, Fruit, Yogurt, Muffin, Fresh bread for toast, Spreads, Cheese,

Milk, Juice, Teas & Coffee, also with a served hot Breakfast and will therefore not be refundable if missed.

Saturday Breakfast is placed in your room’s fridge for your convenience, no hot breakfast available on a

Saturday. You can either enjoy breakfast in your room or alternatively in the gardens.

In the event guest booked without breakfast: if guest wish to have breakfast, breakfast is available at an

additional R65 p/p, please notify Reception timorously.

No Alcohol or pork related foods served. Your health is our concern!

Dinner: available Monday - Thursday on request. Please request at Reception before 15:00. Dinner is

served in your room & can also be placed in your room with a microwave for late arrivals.

Self-Catering: we do not have self-catering facilities. All units do have a bar fridge and a microwave can

be placed in your room on request.

Bar Fridge: with honesty list. Items taken need to be paid for by client. Thank you!

Excursion Tours: can be arranged for your convenience, please visit reception for assistance.

required telephone number. External calls are charged for cell phone at R2.59 per minute and landline at

R1.14 per minute.

Laundry: A laundry list and bag can be found in your wardrobe. Please place laundries in the laundry

bag provided & leave it on your bed with the completed laundry list before 09:00 for same day service

(Mondays - Fridays only). For any last minute or urgent laundering, please contact reception.

Magazines: please do not remove any magazines from the premises. They form part of a private

collection that we would prefer to keep complete.

Swimming pool towels: Pool towels available at reception.

Visitors’ book: please make an entry in our visitors’ book at Reception. We would be delighted to know

how your stay has been.

Loss, Damages and Breakages to Guest House Property:

Please take care with our accommodation and its contents. All guests are also responsible for their

personal behaviour. The Guest retains personal liability for any loss, damages or breakages caused to

the property of Green Valley Lodge which you cause to the accommodation or its contents (excluding

wear and tear). Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor

breakages, but we reserve the right to charge you for the repair or making good, particularly if the

damage or breakage is significant and caused by negligence or a wilful act.

1. To set and change the input code Push the red button behind the door while the door is open. The yellow light will come on with a short beep. Enter the new (preferred pin code) within 60 seconds (3 – 8 digits) and push ‘’A’’ or ‘’B’’ to confirm. Please do not turn the knob before entering your code.

2. Closing the safe Close the door and turn the knob anti-clockwise. 3. To open Enter your code and the letter “A or B”. The green ready light will illuminate. Turn the knob clockwise to open.

This quant farm humming with activity is situated in Skeerpoort, a village at the foot of the majestic Magaliesberg Mountains & is open 6 days a week from 8h00-17h00. Closed on Tuesdays. Originally the site of a coal fired power station, the Orlando Towers have become one of the most distinctive landmarks in Soweto & the site of the world’s first bungee hump between two cooling towers. The towers are the site of the world’s highest SCAD freefall. A suspension bridge stretches across the 2 towers, offering bungy jumping, power swinging, internal swinging & abseiling. Visitors are also welcome to simply enjoy the viewing deck.

Johannesburg Art Gallery is the largest gallery in southern Africa with an outstanding collection of European & South African paintings. Located in Joubert Park in the central business district near Johannesburg Park Station, the collection is housed in a building first designed by British architect Sir Edwin Lutyens, who was responsible for many of the buildings in New Delhi. Work began in 1911 & the building opened to the public in 1915. Further extensions & renovations took place in the 1940s & again in the 1980s. The collection is rotated with only about 10% of the whole on display at any one time. Artists exhibited include Camille Pissarro, Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso and Edgar Degas along with 17th century Dutch paintings & the works of representative South African artists such as Gerard Sekoto, Sydney Kumalo, Ezrom Legae, Helen Sebidi, Alfred Toba, Alexis Preller and Maud Sumner. As well as paintings there are exhibits of sculpture & multi-media installations.
