Medical Cannabis. Maryland just recently completed its application phase1 stage of Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) program. While all applicants wait to know their fate, come January, 2016. for selection result
going into phase2 operational stage. With no clarity from the Feds regarding schedule 1 classification of cannabis. It does however give some hope to have a democratic party frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, make such a
progressive comment about reclassification of Cannabis by also highlighting: “Researchers at universities, at the National Institutes of
Health, could start researching what’s the best way to use it, how much dose does somebody need, how does it interact with other medications.”
Good thing 23 States in the US are already up and running with it. A more recent one is a statement by LeafLine Labs CEO Manny Munson-Regala who said: "States with medical cannabis laws have lower annual opioid overdose
deaths than states without such laws."
