Eight years ago, a group of driven entrepreneurs launched the China Green Companies Summit, choosing Earth Day to host the annual three day event. Under this unparalleled initiative, Chinese entrepreneurs have dedicated themselves and their companies towards a future of sustainable development.
Today, we are here to gain a better understanding of our increasingly interconnected world. A correct understanding and approach to this new era is critical. Chinese President Xi Jinping has stressed the importance of "win-win cooperation" in outlook and strategy. This reflects most evidently in the push towards a stronger Asia and Europe through the “One Belt One Road" initiative, as well as financial support of growth through the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. With a correct understanding of the global environment, China will indeed be a partner contributing great benefits to the world.
