Mrs. Sherrill Tompkins is spending several days with her daughter, Mrs. Ira Jones, and family. Mrs. Rudy Riedl of Conesville spent Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gockel. Also guests at the Gockel home were Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bouton and children of Arkvile and Peter VanWormer. Mrs. Dor- othy Cortese, who has been in Elmira for a week assisting in her capacity as telephone op- erator in the disaster area, re- turned and spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gockel. Mrs. Edward Corsi of New Yoek city is spending July at her country home in Hard- scrabble. Mrs. Sue Van Clute of New York city is visiting her. Mrs. Richard Cafiero and son, Joseph, of Poughkeepsie is spending two weeks with her mother, Mrs. F. Leighton End- erlin, wnile Mr. Cafiero is with the Army Reserve at Camp Drum. Ministers Here Rev. William Ward, pastor of the First P r e s b y t e r i a n church at Delhi, occupied the pulpit Sunday at the Gould Memorial Reformed church. On Sunday, July 9, there was a student minister, William Halter. Next Sunday, Rev. John F. Bandt, who has accept- ed the call to the pastorate at the Gould church, will occupy the pulpit. He and his family will move into the manse this week. Janet Louise Hughes, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mal- colm C. Hughes, was baptized Sunday at the Roxbury United Methodist church service. Mrs. Percy Price is living in her new home on Roosevelt avenue, where she has moved from her house on the Strat- ton Falls road. Mr. and Mrs. William Saw- yer and children, Allen and Wendy, of Baldwin, L.I., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Helwig, who are spending the summer at their country home in Vega. Mr. and Mrs. Arvon Web- ster and children, Donald, Gail and Kenneth, of West Islip spent ithe weekend at their Roxbury home. week vacation which included a trip to the farm of her grand­parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Heyler a t Nauvoo, Pa., a week­end a t New Providence, N.J., with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Os­borne and daughter, Wendy, and a two-week visit a t Gran- iteville, Mass., with her broth­er-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Osborne.

Principal and Mrs. Robert Prout and children, Kathy, Robin and Billy, returned on Wednesday from Largo, Fla., where they spent a week with Mr. Prout’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Prout. They stopped at Disney World a t Orlando on the way back.

Mrs. Anna Arvia of Brooklyn spent two weeks with her sis­ter, Mrs. C. Frank Macri, who is spending the summer a t her country home. Mr. Macri comes weekends.

Wanda D’Orta has returned from Poughkeepsie, where she had visited Mr. and Mrs. Roger McCloskey.

Mrs. Irene Hare of Bayshore and Mrs. Mary Jane Bishop of East Islip have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Frank D’Orta. Raymond Bishop, Mrs. Bishop’s husband, came for her. Mr.

Roxbury, July 20.—Thomas Rose, son of Mr. and Mrs. How­ard Rose of Roxbury, and Miss Alice Atwood of Oneonta were united in marriage in a civil ceremony in Roxbury July 6.

Their a t t e n d a n t s were Charles Brannen, brother-in- law of the bridegroom, and Miss Debra Ingram, the bride­groom’s niece.

The newly married couple will live a t Schoharie, where Mr. Rose works on a farm.

James Finch, after 25 days at the Stamford hospital fol­lowing severe burns in an acci­dent, has been transferred to Albany Medical Center, room 211, Ward 2A.
