I am pleased to present to you, the aquatic communities of

the Sutherland Shire and to the broader Water Polo

community of Australia, our proposal for a dedicated aquatic

facility in the Sutherland Shire.

We strongly believe that there is a compelling case for a

facility of this nature, one that enables, inspires and enriches

all facets of community life.

Our proposal encompasses a comprehensive aquatic facility

that will be purpose built for the member communities. Our

honorary board of directors are highly experienced with

exceptional expertise in key areas of management and

community engagement. Together we will drive this project

to realization.

Currently there is no suitable pool nor adequate access to

pools in the South-East Sydney Region that satisfies the

existing needs of the water polo community.

Existing facilities also fail to satisfy the latent demand for

our programs nor do they possess the prerequisites required

for future development and growth. This fundamental lack of

regional infrastructure in terms of place and people /

capacity and competency constrains our sport’s ability to

develop and grow. All levels of participation from grass roots

programs for fun and fitness, emerging elite to elite

pathways and programs are adversely affected.
