Kittinger AwardPresentation Purpose
In appreciation, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority created the Colonel Joe Kittinger Award to recognize and honor a local veteran for his or her outstanding service and contributions to aviation, the country and the Central Florida community.
With its strong military heritage as the former McCoy Air Force Base, Orlando International Airport wishes to acknowledge the nation’s men and women who played a vital role in the history of flight.
