Sunday Morning Groups

MISSION TRIPS TO CINCINNATI Be part of a Family Trip March 17-19 to work with Grace Point Church in Springboro, Ohio. We’ll invite people to their second year anniversary celebration as well as assist with the celebra-tion service. Attend an infor-mation meeting on Sunday, Janu-ary 29 at 5 p.m. in Room 145 if you are interested. There will also be a college trip March 8-12. For more details on that contact Alex at 526-7108.

Cookeville First Baptist will pack backpacks and provide the snacks to include in these bags during the month of February for the Backpack Program at

Park View Elementary School. Please bring snacks to the church and place them in designated baskets around the church or drop them off in the church office. For those not familiar with the Backpack Program, this mission helps feed children during the weekend. Food, except for the snacks, is purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. This is a mission we share with other area

churches. Cookeville First Baptist takes certain months of the year to pack the bags and provide the snacks. We also give financially.

Ann Hertzfeldt, who heads up this ministry, is looking for Sunday Morning Groups/Sunday School classes to pack the backpacks. If you want to receive a blessing helping children, contact Ann at 260-8653 to help.

SERVE THROUGH BACKPACK MINISTRY

Tennessee Tech students are back on campus!! College Small Group moves to 11:30 a.m. today. With the small group being at 11:30, we like to

provide lunch for students. This provides them an opportunity to build relationships with each other and develop a sense of community. This is a great opportunity for every single person to meet our college students and get involved in their lives. We need groups or individuals to start providing lunch on January 29. Karen Cox leads this aspect of our college ministry. If you would like to provide lunch either with your Sunday morning group or

another group of people, please contact her at (931) 261-6218 or [email protected]. You don’t have to decorate tables and if your group would prefer, you can sponsor a meal so you don’t even have to cook.
