Safer Streets Programme Funding Providers Australian Government Location Aus Funding Type Grant G06662 Primary Category Community Services & Development Eligible to Local Governments Not-for-Profits Funding Amount: undisclosed Total pool: $29,400,000 Round Closes 17-Feb-2016 2:00pm AEDT Last Round Closed 12-Jun-2014 Purpose The Safer Streets Programme aims to enhance community safety and security, both in real terms by reducing street crime, violence and antisocial behaviour and through increased perception of safety in the community. This will reduce fear of crime and Overview The Safer Streets Programme provides non-recurrent funding for one-off, time-limited crime prevention projects. Round Two of the Safer Streets Programme will provide up to $29.4 million for projects that address the objectives of the programme. Under these guidelines funding will be made available for projects in one of two streams of funding. Stream 1 – Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design initiatives

Funding is available under this stream for eligible organisations to fund projects to install security-related infrastructure or remove environmental characteristics, such as a lack of lighting or poor natural surveillance, that facilitate street crime in local retail, entertainment and commercial precincts or public parks that have been identified as experiencing problems with criminal or anti-social behaviour.

Stream 2 – Developmental Crime Prevention initiatives by PCYC and Bluelight organisations Funding is available under this stream to fund Police and Citizen Youth Clubs (PCYC) and Bluelight organisations to provide multi-year and ideally, multi-site, developmental crime prevention or activity based youth engagement programmes for young people within the ages of 12-24 years who are at risk of engaging in criminal or anti-social activity

2. You will have until midnight 24th January 2016 to submit your inspiring proposal to your local store (at each of our seven stores in QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC)

3. Then the IKEA store team local to your project will select up to three of the most inspiring finalists for co-workers and customers to vote online.

4. The organisation from each store with the highest number of online votes becomes the winner who receives the full $5,000 IKEA makeover - comprising of our products, home furnishing expertise and our co-worker volunteers to bring it all together.

5. The two runners-up will both receive $250 IKEA gift cards. Funding Available Up to $500 plus GST for individuals Up to $1,000 plus GST for groups/collectives

An individual exhibiting in a group show can apply for individual funding, but the assessors may choose tolimit the funds going to any one exhibition.

Limitations Eligibility Applicants must be the visual art, craft or design practitioner/s who is/are participating in

the project for which you are requesting funding; Group applications (groups are at least two people) must be submitted with the details of

two group members involved in the project. The grant will be awarded to the two applicants nominated on the form;

Applicants must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia for at least 2 years preceding the application date.

Applicants are eligible to apply only once per round and if successful, cannot apply again for 12 months to the Australian Artists’ Grant or NSW Artists’ Grant.

Applicants can apply to the corresponding NSW Artists’ Grant round but if their NSW Artists’ Grant application is successful the application for the Australian Artists’ Grant will be cancelled.

Late or incomplete applications will not be assessed; Grants are not retrospective. Funds are only provided to undertake projects or activities

that within the project period specified; All other considerations being equal, NAVA members will be given priority. Professional status You must be a professional artist/s. Under NAVA’s definition a professional artist will have some of the following professional characteristics: has regular public exhibitions of artwork; offers work for sale, or is selling art work; is eligible for or has been awarded a government grant; is selected for public exhibition, awards, prizes; has secured work or consultancies on the basis of professional expertise; has had work acquired for public or private collections; is a member of a professional association on the basis of his/her status as a professional

artist/s.. Students Undergraduate students are not eligible. Postgraduate level students can apply but only for an activity that is not part of course

requirements. Exhibitions undertaken to meet educational course requirements are ineligible for

funding. Artists living in remote areas Due to the geographical circumstances of Indigenous artists living in remote areas NAVA will apply special consideration. An Indigenous art or craft centre can make an application on behalf of the artists it represents, and if successful can use the art and craft centre’s ABN

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW Foundation (RASF) is giving rural and regional NSW community organisations the chance to win a kitchen, courtesy of Masters Home Improvement Overview The kitchen, which is used at the Sydney Royal Easter Show for cooking demonstrations in the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome, includes all of the cabinetry, cook tops, sink and oven. View an illustration of what the kitchen may look like here. The RAS Foundation and Masters Home Improvement will donate this kitchen, with a retail value of $30,000, to a rural or regional NSW community organisation. The RAS Foundation invites rural and regional community organisations to apply and tell us how their community would benefit from a new kitchen. The successful applicant needs to demonstrate how a new kitchen will benefit their local community. The successful applicant will need to meet the following requirements: The kitchen can only be installed into the agreed community owned / public building and

cannot be for the benefit of an individual or company. The kitchen must be accessible to the wider community.

The successful applicant will receive the kitchen in a flat pack form that comprises of cabinetry, cook top, stove and sink. No colours or materials preference can be requested. Please note: the illustrations are a guide only.

The coordination, cost of freight from Sydney Showground to the recipient community will be the responsibility of the successful applicant. All installation costs are also the responsibility of the successful applicant.

The flat packed kitchen should be removed from the Sydney Showground directly after the close of the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Installation of the kitchen needs to be completed by approximately 31 October, six months after the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The successful applicant will be required to attend a presentation event at the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show to accept the Masters Home Improvements Kitchen.

Purpose The Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Programme (HVSPP) aims to contribute to the productivity and safety outcomes of heavy vehicle operations across Australia. State, territory and local governments are eligible to apply and where appropriate, are encouraged to work together on priorities. Overview The specific HVSPP objectives are to: Increase productivity of heavy vehicles by enhancing the capacity of existing roads and

improving connections to freight networks; and Improve the safety environment for heavy vehicles. Proponents are encouraged to consult with industry and community more broadly on potential projects to ensure community views and industry priorities are considered in the development of proposals. It provides travel support of up to $15,000 for artists and their manager for tours in Australia that include performances in regional and remote areas. Overview Under the CMTP performances of original Australian contemporary music can include a wide range of different musical styles. Applications must contain one tour only. The tour must comprise of performances in at least three venues outside of the performer’s hometown and must include at least one performance in a non-metropolitan area. Tours that include a majority of regional destinations or assist performers from regional areas are a priority for funding. Additional TRAX funding is available for tours where over 75% of the itinerary is to remote and/or very remote locations. Purpose To avert immediate risk of further damage to State Heritage Register-listed items or items with a current Interim Heritage Order. Overview Up to $10,000 (ex GST) in grant funding available to successful applicants, with no matching funding required from the applicant. Approval of funding is conditional on sufficient Emergency Works Projects budget being available in the financial year to fund successful applicants. Projects are to be completed within 6 months of a letter of offer being sent. To be eligible under the Emergency Works Projects sub-stream a project must: be a one-off urgent project for a State Heritage Register-listed item or item with an

Interim Heritage Order address an unexpected or unforseen issue, not an issue resulting from standard wear and

Through the CNF, existing small-to-medium businesses may apply for funding to enable them to take the next step in creating value for business and customers. Coles will allocate $10 million a year to fund the CNF for the next five years, comprising $5 million per annum allocated for grants and another $5 million per annum allocated for interest-free loans. The maximum single grant of funds or loan under the CNF is $500,000. Innovation is one of the primary drivers of competitiveness.
