SCORE CARDS. When completing Score Cards pleaseuse BLOCK LETTERS, give initials of all players, and fullscores. Make sure the corect card is used.

3. CLAIMS. To claim a match when the opposing team lails toappear, send to the Match Secretary a Score Card bearingthe word 'Absent' in the space provided lor the opponentsnames.
4. Junior teams must have adult supervision at all homematches.The ball shall be white or yellow, at the discretion of thshome team, the same colour ball to be used throughout thematch.
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS. In the case of individual awardsforfeit rubbers will now count. However, forleit rubbers willNOT be considered for Team league table calculations (seeRule 7h).
It is requested that each team shall provide an umpire foraltemative games.
Under the new E.T.T.A. rules players in all divisions musthave 2 ditferent coloured rubbers (i.e. red/black).

RULES (e) The Executive Commiftee shall have the power to co-opttwo other members from affiliated clubs and to appoint subcommittees.
(f) The Executive Committee shall have the power to fullvacancies in the Ofiicers ol the League should they occurduring the season. They shall also be empowered to appointany other Officers should it be considered appropriate, butappointments so made shall only be held until the nexlAnnual General Meeting.
(g) The Hon. Treasurer shall be responsible for all moniesbelonging to the League from whatsoever source derivedand shall bank all such monies in the name of 'TheGrantham and District Table Tennis League.'
(h) All cheques for the withdrawal of monies from the Bank shallbe signed by the Chairman, Hon. Secretary, Hon. Treasurer,or any two ol the above named.
(i) The working year for the League affairs and tinance shall befrom 1st July to 31st May.
(j) Rule cancelled AGM July 1973.(k) Any Committee member failing to attend two consecutive
meetings without any apology may be automaticallyreplaced by co-option of the standing committee.
5. MEETINGS:(a) The Annual General Meeting shall be held not later than 7th
July in each year.(b) At least seven clear days notice shall be given of each
General or Special Meeting of the League.(c) A Special General Meeting may be convened by the
Executive Committee or by a request signed by not lessthan four afiiliated Clubs and fonrvarded to the Hon.Secretary.
(d) The Executive Committee shall meet as seemed necessary.(e) The quorum of any Executive Committee shall be five.
6. ACCOUNTS & RESOLUTIONS:A copy of audited statement of accounts and notice of all
resolutions received shall be given to each member club atthe AGM.
1. TITLE:The League shall be called the Grantham and District TableTennis League.
2. OBJECTS:The objects ol the League shall be to conduct competitionsbetween atfiliated clubs, to arrange and conduct such othercompetitions asare deemed desirable, to assist and encouragethe formation of Table Tennis Clubs in Grantham and Distri-'ctand to further the interests of the game in every way.
3. EXTENTThe area of Administration of the Grantham and District TableTennis League shall be within the area covered by a circle of 15miles radius with Grantham Market Place as its centre. Shouldit be found that at any time this area of Administration confilctswith the area of any other League or Body, erch matter shall bereferred to arbitration between the Execuiive Committees ol theorganisations concerned.
4. ADMINISTRATION:(a) The League shall appoint the following otficers:- president,
Vice-Presidents, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Hon. SecretaryHon. Treasurer, Hon. Match Secretary, lnter-Town Secretary,Coaching Secretary, and Umpiring Sdcretary.
(b) The number of Honorary Auditors appointed who shall notbe Otficers of the League shall be determined by theExecutive Committee.
(c) All the Officers and Committee shall be elected annually atthe Annual General Meeting of the League. Nomination6 olnames of otficers and general committee for the followingseason shall be proposed and seconded and in the hands ofthe Secretary, in writing, no less than seven days prior to theAGM. Nominations can also be accepted at the AGM priorto lhe vote.
(d) The management of the League affairs shall be vested in anExecutive Committee together with eight representatives

7. COMPOSITION OF THE LEAGUE:(a) The League shall be composed of as many divisions as
determined by the Executive Committee.(b) At the end of each season the two leading teams in each
division, olher than the Premier, shall be promoted to thenext higher division, and the two bottom leams in eachdivision other than the lowest division, shall be relegated tothe next lower division. All other teams shall remain in thesame division as the previous season, irrespective ofplayers' standard. Should a vacancy arise in any division anew team of known players or the next eligible team(s) inthe next lower division shall fill these vacancies, at thediscretion of the Executive Committee.
(c) Should a team withdraw or be expelled lrom the Leagueduring the season, then the results of such matches shall bedeleted lrom the League Tables. A new team shall be onethat consists of 2|3 known players. All new teams will beplaced in the lowest senior or junior division. All divisions ofthe League shall consist of a maximum of 14 teams.
(d) The positions in lhe league shall be detemined on the basisoJ lwo points for a win and one for a draw, in addition eachteam will gain one point for each ol their playersparticipating in the singles of a match.
(e) In the event ol a tie on points in the league, involving two ormore leams, after taking into consideration any points lostthrough match concellations, through no fault of the leamsin question, the placings should be delermined by matcheswon, drawn or lost by the said teams. For promotion orrelegation purposes should there still be equality, a play'offwill be staged.
(f) All matches must be played in accordance with the fixtureslist as issued, unless by mutual agreemenl between bothCaptains and the Match Secretary. Any change in venue orhome night, after the handbook has been printed, must benotified in writing, by the Secretary ol the Club concemed toall teams in the relevant division. Failure to do this will resultin the loss of points for the match against any club not soinformed.
(g) All matches must commence not later than 7.30pm otherthan by mutual agreement between the team captains.
Matches played in Educational premises to commence at7.00pm. Juniors 6.30pm. Two players from each side mustbe ready to start at the time stated.
(h) Results of all matches played under the auspices of theLeague shall be recorded on the otficial prescribed form bythe Home and Away teams. These cards shall be receivedby the Match Secretary bearing a postmark not later thanthe Saturday lollowing the match. Cards delivered by handshall reach the Match Secretary not later than the Saturdayfollowing the match. In the event of neither scorecard beingreceived on time, the match will be declared void and nopoints or rubbers will be awarded to the otfendino teams. Inthe case ol forfeit matches only points will be awided.
(i) All protests and disputes shall be fonvarded to the Leaguesecretary for consideration at the next Executive CommitteeMeeting.
a) 'Present rules concerning size of league or points awardedmay be suspended for the current season for the JuniorDivision.'
8. AFFILIATION:(a) All clubs as prescribed in Rute 3 shall be etigible for
membership to the League.(b) The Executive Committee reserve the right to refuse the
entry ol any Club into the League, and shall be empoweredto suspend any Club, Team or Person for non-observance ofthe Rules of the League, or for any other misdemeanour.
(c) Applicalion lor League membership for existing clubs mustbe made in person at the AGM. Clubs will only be allowed toregister if two or more representatives are present throughout the AGM. New Clubs will be accepted up to the last dayof July. At least three players per team must be registeredwith the Match Secretary by 31st August.
(d) The Affiliation Fees for the Grantham League for Club and/or Team accepted into the League, shall 6e the amount asdetermined at the Annual General Meeting.
(e) Individual afiiliation on the part of interested players orhelpers may be allowed at the discretion ol the LeagueManagement Committee.

9. COMPOSITION OF TEAMS:(a) Each team shall be composed of lhree players. Each player
playing one set of three games against each member of theopposing team. A set shall be won by the player winning twogames of lhe set.
(b) Before the commencement of the each match the respectiveCaptains shall insert their team's order of play on the OlficialResult Form. The 'home'team Captain shall insert his orderof play firsl.
(c) That leams which do not turn up for their match tix'ture anddo not notify the opposing team captain and the MatchSecretary shall be fined E2 for a senior team and €1 for ajunior. Teams faling to do so twice during one season will beexpelled from the Grantham and District Table TennisLeague tor that current season.
(d) That a team reserve registered player can take part in theDoubles event of a league match.
(e) 'Present rules conceming the composition of teams may besuspended for the current season for the Junior Division.'
10. REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS:(a) The Executive Committee reserue the right to refuse any
registration.(b) No player can be registered for more than one Club in the
League.(c) The registration fee for bach player shall be an amount
delermined annually at the Annual General Meeting.(d) Rule cancelled AGM 1983.(e) In the event of a Club having more than one leam
competing in the same Division of the League at any onetime, each team of the particular Club so concerned shall forthe purpose of registration of players be considered as aseparate entry, and no transference of players betweensuch teams be allowed.
(f) No player shall be allowed to play in a lower Division of theLeague than that for which he or she has once played in thecurrent season, only at the discretion of the Executive
Committee, but may be allowed to play for a team of theClub for which he or she is registered competing in a higherDivision, but he or she shall only be permitted to assist oneteam of the same Club in a higher Division in accordancewith the provisions of Rule 10, paragraph (9). No seniorplayer may play in a Junior Division.
(g) lf a player has played twice for a team in a higher Divisionthan that for which he was registered, he shall on the thirdappearance for the leam in the higher Division b€comeautomatically registered tor that team, and shall not beallowed to take part in any further matches played by theleam in the lower Division, except as provided lor in Rule 10paragraph (f).
(h) The penalty of playing an ineligible player shall be theforfeiture of all rubbers won by the ineligible player
(i) Transference of players shall be allowed only to a team inthe same or higher Division.
(j) That there shall be no registration of players atler 1stJanuary in each season except at the discretion of theExecutive Committee.
(k) That the definition of a Junior shall be according to theE.T.T.A. The qualification for all official junior competition is:lf a player is under 17 on the 1st July in any year, he iseligible for junior events for the whole of the next season,i.e. until 30th June following his 17th birthday;Intermediale: Under 21 years of age on the lst July in thepreceding year.
Veteran: 40th birthday on or before the 30th June in thepreceding year.
(l) 'Registration or re-registration of Junior Division teams maybe allowed other than at the AGM for an appropriate periodfor the current season.'
11. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:(a) Motions afiecting the Constitution or the Rules of the
Grantham and District Table Tennis League may be prop-osed only by the Executive Committee, accredited represen-tatives of Teams, or Clubs, or by members of the Leagueaffiliated during the previous season. Such motions may besubject to Block Voting as provided in Rule (see below).

(b) On a motion specified by the above rule the Chairman shallaccept a demand for a Block Vote from any accredited clubrepresentative or he may decide himself to proceed to aBlock Vote. In the absence of demands lor a Block Vote, ifthe Chairman is satisfied that a show of hands indicates aclear decision he may dispense with the Block Vote anddeclare the decision on the basis in the hands shown. (BlockVote-ln a Block Vote each accredited representative shallexercise one vote for each registered team in his club).
(c) A majority in excess of opposition of one-third of the votescast shall be necessary to carry any resolution in respect ofthe rules of the League. Other resolutions shall be decidedby a simple majority vote and in the event of a tie except onlinancial questions the meeting shall proceed to the nextbusiness. In the matter of finance the Chairman shall havethe casting vote.
(d) No person attending the AGM may vole unless he or she isaffiliated the the Grantham and District Table Tennis League
. either through a Club or individual ly during the seasonpreceding the AGM.
12. GENERAL:(a) The Rules of the game as laid down by the English Table
Tennis Association shall apply to this League.(b) All holders ol Trophies which are the property ot the League
shall be responsible for their safe custody, and shall beliable for the cost of replacement or making good anydamage sustained to the Trophy whilst in their possession.They shall also be required to keep such Trophies in a cleancondit ion.
(c) Trophies shall normally be held lor a period of one year, butthey shall be liable for recall at any time as directed by theExecutive Committee.
(d) Any matter not provided for in these Rules shall be referredto the Executive Committee, whose decision thereon shallbe final.
(e) Any doubtful interpretation of these Rules shall be referredto the Executive Committee, whose decision shall be final.
(f) The rules of the League shall not be altered not added toexcept at an Annual General Meeting or a Special General
