ELECTION DAY | May 4, 2019 • 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
OverviewOn September 18, 2018, the Board of Trustees approved the creation of the 2018 Facilities Planning Committee (FPC),
comprised of 27 community members, for the purpose of reviewing the District’s continued growth, facility, and instructional needs for at least the next four years. The FPC was also charged with making a recommendation to the
Board of Trustees to address those needs. The FPC met over a three-month period to review the $1.4 billion in projects identified through a District-wide facility assessment and in response to the growth outlined in the PASA Demographic Study. At the December 18, 2018, Board of Trustees’ meeting, the FPC recommended an $827.4 million bond package. That recommendation became the blueprint for the 2019 CISD Bond Referendum. At their January 15, 2019, meeting,
the Board of Trustees approved an $807 million bond referendum for the May 4, 2019, election.
