Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) 2013
The Graduate Business Partnership is a project-based placement scheme organised by the University of Exeter. The scheme places recent graduates with local organisations between 8 weeks and up to 23 months. During the placements the graduate receives training from the University. Application process: You can apply to any of the placements by submitting an application form to [email protected] for each project detailing your suitability to the project. Your application form will be forwarded to the host organisation. If they are interested in you they will then contact you directly and arrange an interview. Graduates from any UK university with the right to work in the UK may apply. Below are the projects we are currently advertising. Company Summary:
Grand Challenges is a week long programme of interdisciplinary learning challenges, designed to provide
first year undergraduate students with an exciting educational and social experience at the end of the
academic year. The programme aims to bring together staff and students from different colleges to work
together on a range of 21st Century challenges under the four pedagogic principles of interdisciplinarity;
research-led education; inquiry based learning; and education for employability. Throughout the academic
year, students and staff will be informed and engaged in preparation activities, with support and direction
from the central team based in Academic Services.
Purpose of Role: The main purpose of the job is to support the Grand Challenges programme by providing high-level administrative support. Duties: Administrative support
Support the project team in managing events such as Week 6, festival, training workshops, Grand Challenges summer programme and Get Fit for your Challenge events.
Ensure rooms are booked with VC and catering when appropriate for events; liaison with academics about room bookings and requirements. Monitor changes to room bookings.
Support and monitor the recruitment of facilitators for Grand Challenges.
Provide secretariat support including planning, scheduling and organising the Project Board, Coordination Group, workstream and other meetings.
Support the committees by agreeing agendas, writing and distributing minutes, tracking action points and distributing and maintaining records and papers.
Provide reports and updates to the Board/Coordination Group/workstream groups.
Coordinate collection and analysis of feedback from the programme.
Update databases as required.
Provide administrative support to academic teams including transport and hotel bookings.

Video vault – a web based library or pre-recorded quality assured / accredited films. hiblio produces video content in three core domains;

Purpose of Role:
To play a key role in the delivery of the Exeter Northcott Theatre’s Development Strategy which seeks to

Duties:

Company Summary: University of Exeter Purpose of Role: To work with key colleagues in the College of Social Sciences and International Studies in support of
College strategic objectives, specifically but not entirely within the education portfolio (undergraduate and postgraduate - UG and PGT - taught programmes) including:
o assisting with programme and module development and implementation; o promoting and implementing student engagement initiatives within the College; o supporting the enhancement of the student experience across the College – including the
first year student experience (e.g. Fresher’s Week, Connect Week, Grand Challenges); o supporting the College’s ambition to further improve its position in the NSS (National

Purpose of Role: Working within the HR Department to:
Deliver a robust and cost effective recruitment process to successfully appoint all new fixed term and permanent employees in line with the needs of the business.
