Read the text. Then, answer the questions below.

A bee’s entire body is fuzzy, covered in millions of tiny, furry hairs. When a bee marches across a flower, their tiny hairs grab on to dusty pollen. A bee can quickly get covered in pollen from antennae to claw! When a bee flies from flower to flower, some of these pollen grains fall off onto the plant. The plant then uses this pollen to change the flowers into fruit and seeds, which eventually turn into new plants. Without bee pollination, many plants wouldn’t be able to make new plants.

1. What is 1 reason why bees have millions of tiny hairs?

2. What does pollination mean?

Snakes live on all continents except Antarctica. Most live in warm climates and, like other reptiles, they warm themselves with the sun’s heat and cool off in the shade. Snakes’ bodies, though, are unlike mammals’ bodies. Snakes are carnivores, or meat-eaters. They eat their prey whole. Because their jaws separate, they can eat animals many times the size of their heads.
