GR-RRR8’R Wichita Pontiac Club’s Monthly Publication
June 2015
1st thing I want to remind everyone to wear one of your old name tags from a past car show, GTOAA, POCI, or whatever you want! We have been looking into buying some new ones. The last bid was so much we decided to try this out first. If you are a artist lets see what you come up with. Figuring out this months meeting date was tough. June is such a busy month, with the Marauders Showdown in the Valley show on the 20th ( hehe An indoor show in Kansas in the June weather is a no-brainer), Fathers Day is the 21st. which includes the Fathers Day Show at the Zoo. June 14th is All Wheels Day at Lake Afton. We ended up moving the meeting to Saturday the 13th. It will start at 1:30 P.M. at Rob Nutt's house. That address is 1525 N. Woodrow in Wichita. Again, go to the club web site www.wichitagto.com and click on the calendar to find link with a map to it. Dave is doing a great job with that. Thanks Dave! I saw on the News that for the month of May we had rain in Kansas 27 out the the 31 days. I know it felt like it at my house. The good news I had plenty of projects in the works, the bad news none of them were Pontiac related. And I didn't feel retired at all. They included three bath floors, one bath back splash, one full bathtub shower with custom recess & shelf. Even dug out a old Douglas Floor & Tile shirt to wear and look Professional. And that hasn't been worn since 1978! I posted a few pictures on FB. If you want to check out my work. That's right I'm on FB now. My Airborne unit is having reunion and this was the best way for me to report in. So there you have it. The 2015 Oakland-Pontiac Worldwide Homecoming Tour is happening this month also. Check out the flyer we had in the April Newsletter if you need a reminder. I think Dave and I are planning on running up on the 17th. That's the day of the visit of the Eisenhower Museum. Might have room for another person if any of you are interested. Don't know that we have even decided what we are driving yet. Told you this month was busy. Tim Dye announced that June 27th he will pull the cover off of his 70 JUDGE for the unveiling, and then include some rare photos and never revealed facts. Plus a brief history on his Judge!! I posted his announcement on the club FB page. I know this FB thing does have a it's good points. Think Sam and I are going to run up there for that. I even called Bennie and invited him. Bennie is the new owner of Eric's 71 Judge. See ya down the road. Out Here
