THE FASTEST GROWING SPORT IN THE WORLD

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has enjoyed staggering growth and its success in recent years has rekindled interest in the consumption of martial arts entertainment worldwide. In the past, boxing was the leader in PPV sales and now MMA has surpassed boxing in revenue. Annual PPV revenues for MMA now hover around $500 million, and combined with other revenue streams, the overall MMA industry is worth over $3 billion.

It has grown in popularity over the past decade in the United States and has transcended cultural boundaries abroad. MMA is legal in 48 of the 50 United States. MMA fights are broadcast to over 170 countries and territories. Among U.S. men ages 18 to 34, the sport is currently fourth in popularity, trailing only baseball, basketball, and football, according to research by Scarborough. MMA fans tend to be wealthy, educated and technologically savvy consumers.

MMA has crossed cultural barriers and is the global sport of the future. Its visceral and primal nature is something that all cultures can connect with. Whenever cultural heritage is added into the mix, it becomes a powerful form of entertainment for reaching a wide range of people.

HOW WE FIND OUR FIGTHERS

Based on auditions uploaded to YouTube, combat sports fans (target demographic: men and women ages 18-49) will be able to view and vote on the world’s most talented fighters to compete within our programming. This global “fan-based” voting system enables GPG to acquire, share, and select from a user-rated pool of talented fighters representing different countries, fighting disciplines, and skill levels.

Global Proving Ground (GPG) is the ideal platform for fighters of all martial arts disciplines to showcase their skills on a global level. It is THE place for promoters, sponsors, television producers, match makers and fight managers to discover new elite talent. It is also a place for fans to show support for their favorite amateur and professional fighters.

Fighters can independently upload a tryout video to showcase their skills. However, we have held multiple casting calls in major cities in the US and abroad to find talent.

Our proactive casting call approach plants the GPG seed in every city we visit. From there, word spreads like wildfire, and video submissions come pouring in.

SPONSOR BENEFITS

GPG programming revolves around telling the fighters’ personal story in a way that is compelling. Our audiences will be able to become deeply invested in each fighter’s development because we empower fans to vote their favorite fighters directly into our programming. This allows for engagement and resonance with the fighters as well as integrated sponsored products.

The value for sponsors is the ability to deeply embed products into a fighter’s daily routine, allowing invested viewers to become fully aware of that product’s value and purpose. This unique opportunity will help brands build deeper relationships with their target market by speaking directly to audiences through a DVR proof format.

Fans want to watch sports on their own schedule. With GPG, sponsor messages can be integrated into fights and shows, so your message gets through regardless of DVR usage.
